Ameer Elias Mabjish

About me

I do not talk at people like a case file or lesser person.  The few bad apples in every profession should not define the expectations for everyone else in that profession.  There are many very good attorneys in our area.  Everyone should have access to an attorney they can engage in productive communication, derive confidence, and trust.  As an attorney, I hope for my clients to strive to meet those same expectations.

I protect my clients from getting taken advantage of by the system.  If everyone working within the criminal justice system, government, corporations, and insurance industry were always fair and just, criminal defense and plaintiffs' attorneys would not exist. If you are being investigated, accused of a crime, or in an accident, please DO NOT SPEAK WITH ANYONE ABOUT YOUR CASE without first speaking to me or another qualified attorney. What we discuss about your case remains confidential.

I am passionate about my career and through it, educating and helping others. As a student at St. Xavier High School in Cincinnat, Ohio, where I spent summers cleaning the school as part of a financial aid program and the school year participating in various forms of community service, I learned as much if not more outside the classroom as I did inside. My eyes were first opened to what it means to be a "man for others" and it has carried with me ever since.

I pride myself on fighting for each client skillfully, fearlessly, compassionately, and ethically like I would for myself or any loved one. That's what every person deserves and what the law should demand no matter the case or circumstances.  Unfortunately, the legal standard by which attorneys are professionally judged is not that high. See Strickland v. Washington, 466 U.S. 668 (1984).  Even worse, some attorneys worry more about being "liked" by everyone other than their clients.  In my practice, clients come first and then everyone else second.

That only makes me a good attorney, not a magician.  Every case is different. Every case can change, usually for the better, with sufficient opportunity for me to properly investigate and study the evidence in your case. I will be open, honest, and realistic with you about the applicable law, the circumstances in your case, and your possible defenses, remedies, or courses of action. I will also keep you updated throughout the process as I continue to learn and receive new information.

I have successfully tried numerous difficult cases to jury verdict.  I have achieved countless successful outcomes for my clients prior to trial including dismissals of all charges.  Multiple issues I have litigated have also resulted in successful appeals. Maybe I should have kept track of the hundreds of successful outcomes over the years but my personal attention has been and always will be on each of my clients, not statistics. Every case involves risk. Achieving amazing results often requires the courage of my clients to stand strong even when it seems the odds are against them. There are rarely, if ever, any guarantees any attorney can make in a case, but I will fight for what is right for you in your particular situation to achieve the best possible outcome despite the odds.

Whether or not you believe the battle for your life, liberty, and security can be won without a fight, it's never wrong or too soon to have a skilled attorney prepare your case and be ready to fight for you, because getting caught in battle unprepared to fight and feeling alone will cost you much more than money. As long as I'm your attorney, I'll be standing by your side to fight for you. If you don't have me in your corner, you can only hope I'm not in theirs. Good luck.
