    Hired attorney

I hired Mr. Barnett to represent me in a Midland Financial issue and on the day I was suppose to be in court he told me that I didn't need to be there, that he had everything under control. Needless to say, he didn't show up either so the judge was in favor of Midland Financial!!! Sounds like to me that Mr. Barnett might be working for Midland Financial!!! He won't return my calls or my emails. All he has done is caused something to be put on my credit report that DIDNT BELONG TO ME to start with!!!! Do not hire this man!!!!

Jason Wade Barnette’s response: “I have never represented anyone against "Midland Financial". There is no debt purchaser or debt collector named "Midland Financial". Moreover, this complaint has my name incorrectly spelled and the complainant does not list their own name. Perhaps, the complainant has me confused with someone else. In any event, I deny these false and slanderous allegations. This is a prime example of how anyone can post malicious lies about a professional on public forums. Attorney's rely upon their reputation to feed their families and there is no recourse against those who intentionally attempt to sully it when one has no way to ascertain who is making the false statements.”

Jason Wade Barnett attorney is the most honest attorney I have ever dealt with. He told me upfront he might or might not be able to remove debt, but thought he could win for me. He spent hours talking to me anytime I asked him, because I was afraid of which attorney to choose. Thank God I chose Jason Wade Barnette in Nashville, TN, because he won everything in my favor. Jason's fees were very reasonable. He always returned every phone call or email instantly back to me asap, usually within five minutes. If you don't choose Jason you are making a big mistake. He knows the law on debt collectors. My name is Deanna, I am financially debt free only, because of attorney Jason Wade Barnette, without him I would be in debt for years. I have one more item we are working on in September 2015. He is the attorney to hire for debt collections success for me.

I retained Mr. Barnette as representation when my former employer appealed my unemployment decision. I couldn't have asked for better representation, it is clear he really knows the tactics employers will pursue to seek a favorable outcome and he is a great help in navigating the unemployment hearing(s). I would definitely recommend him to anyone going through this difficult process.

  • Avoid This Attorney

DO NOT HIRE THIS ATTORNEY if you want a favorable outcome to your debt collection civil lawsuit. He took money from me upfront but provided no service whatsoever. He allowed a default judgment to be levied against me without my knowledge. I found out my calling the court after repeated emails and phone calls got no response from Mr. Barnette. In fact, he out-and-out lied to me by saying that the lawsuit had been dismissed when it hadn't.

Jason Wade Barnette’s response: “I deny the allegations Deborah Higgins has set forth above other than the fact that she did pay for my services in installments. I discussed this case with opposing counsel until I was blue in the face, looked over a voluminous amount of documentation which supported a valid chain of title and that in fact the debt was hers. I did not "lie" to her at any point in time - such a statement is defamatory per se. Opposing counsel was supposed to reset the last hearing, but a mistake was made. I didn't know of this until today. They offered to vacate the judgment, but given Ms. Higgins comments in her review and threats made in an email to my assistant, it is unlikely I can represent her any further. It was also explained that I would sue the Plaintiff in the U.S.D.C. for the M.D. of T.N. for violations of the FDCPA at no additional cost. I have done so before as anyone can see on pacer.gov. That explanation was met with threats to sue, file a Bar Complaint, and everything else imaginable. What else can an attorney do?”

Mr. Barnette has helped me deal with not only one Original Creditor but two big banks (Cap1 and Barclays) that I stood no chance of winning as Pro Se. I have been able to get very favourable debt settlement and on my way to rebuilding my credit. He is very knowledgeable about the whole legal system and knows and has a good working relationship with the other side that represents the creditors. I made a great choice to pick Barnette Law Offices for my representation.

    Hello,
I am suppose to be a current client of Mr. Barnette and the last communication I have had from him was back in March. I have attempted to contact my attorney (Mr. Barnette) several times to get further information. I have emailed him directly (now getting a error message stating the email is not working), I have emailed the main office (to be informed they would have him follow back up with me, this was back on May 18th still no follow up), I have called the office and his cell number he has given me and still no return contact. I have never worked with someone who has not cared to communicate with his clients. I consider it very unprofessional, My case was started back in August of 2014 and I have yet to hear any word as to my attorney making any improvements. I have already settled 6 accounts since this one started. All of which I was communicated with every step of the way. Would not recommend.

Jason Wade Barnette’s response: “I have no clue who this poster is inasmuch as they have omitted any identifying information. Anyone can post anything on this - or other - websites and I'm supposed to guess who it is. In any event, I deny the allegations set forth above. Our email addresses have always worked fine and moreover, the poster makes several contradictions. I communicate very well as my large number of reviews clearly show.”

I am dealing with a lawsuit from Portfolio Recovery Associates. Mr. Barnette is very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions quickly, without demanding payment first. He told me exactly how he is going to handle the case, instead of giving vague answers that so many before him have done. He also posts free info on message boards, which I believe shows how genuine he is as a person in helping people.

The best thing that ever happened to me was finding Jason Barnette on line. I was in a mess with credit card debt and didn't want to file bankruptcy and no one else would help me. But he did. He called me back right away and he was worth every penny I ever paid him. Don't know where I would be without him!!
