I worked with John 99% of the time and he was always very professional and kept me informed. I could call at anytime and always very responsive. A key thing I have to mention is he kept me at ease and comfortable through a very difficult time in my life if they were doctors I would say they had great bed side manner. Only met Peggy at final hearing but have to say she was outstanding and if I need legal help in future I will use their office again.

I would highly recommend Martin Sir and Associates for anyone going thru a divorce or any other issue involving domestic matters. They were always there for me and answered all my questions even when they were sometimes redundant. I always felt like they were on my side and that I was their only client. My first experience with retaining and working with a lawyer was in 2010 while going through a divorce. After 18 years of marriage and two children, I had many questions and concerns. Though I believe my divorce was handled adequately overall, I was regularly frustrated when trying to reach the attorney who was slow to return calls and often completely unresponsive. Already stressed and worried about what the future would bring, I sure didn't appreciate the lack of response which compounded these feelings.

Unfortunately, at the end of 2012, I was once again in need of legal services as my ex-spouse had defaulted on numerous aspects of our divorce agreement. Reflecting on my experience with my previous attorney, I knew I wanted to find an attorney and firm that would be quickly responsive to my needs and questions. After making several inquiries through friends and co-workers, I had not received any referrals, and so my internet search began. I actually found AVVO's site and after hours of reading profiles, I had narrowed my search to a few. As it was just before Thanksgiving, a few of my calls resulted in leaving voicemails or messages. I called Martin Sir and Associates and while I did have to leave a message, my phone call was returned by the office's Managing Paralegal, John within minutes. He spent a significant amount of time with me on the phone, answering questions and concerns, that ultimately allowed me to relax and enjoy the holiday weekend. In consulting with the firm that Monday, I knew I had found a group that would fulfill the high expectations I had.

Mr. Sir is truly not what I expected the attorney and owner of the firm to be. Expecting a man with a bit of arrogance, in walked a dignified gentleman that was soft-spoken and who immediately put me at ease. Mr. Sir is wonderful, kind, and thoughtful, but always deliberate in answering questions. He is knowledgable, firm and can be imposing when needed, as he was during a deposition with my ex-spouse. I could not think of a more experienced, well-rounded attorney than Mr. Sir to represent me!

As I am sure is typical, my case took about 5 months to go through all the various motions. With Mr. Sir's representation, we were awarded the entire amount of the filed petition, plus almost the entire amount of monies owed and accumulated during the 5 months which ended up being greater than $25,000. I am very pleased with the outcome and should the need arise for additional legal services, I would not hesitate to call Martin Sir and Associates again. If you want a trustworthy group to represent you, this is the one!

First, I was always informed about what was going on with my case. I actually felt over-informed at times. An explanation was always given to what I was looking at and about my upcoming court dates. Also, EVERY time I called I either spoke with someone or got a return call even at night and on the weekends......someone was always avalible. I was told that Mr. Sir and has staff would take care of me like no other...and they did! I would highly recommend Martin Sir and Associates.

My original divorce was supposed to be contested. I was able to work out all of the details with my ex and we went to an uncontested divorce. Throughout the proceedings I kept hearing how good a deal this was for me, but afterwards I found out many details were omitted or were not changed like I asked. For instance, I asked in writing that both the dates for the Child Support and Alimony be updated to the current date. The Alimony was, yet the child support was not, now I find out I am liable for nearly $5000 in child support due to this lack of attention to detail.

When asked about this clear mistake I was told this wasn't a big deal and just tell the ex that monies I gave her during the negotiation period were back child support. I was advised early in the proceedings to continue with status quo of our relationship which consisted of giving my ex a cash stipend weekly of $200, plus paying bills. I was never told to get receipts or pay with checks, but when I brought this up they said use the receipts I had. I informed them they had not told me to get receipts or use checks, at this time they broke off communication with me and disregarded messages.

Overall the cost of the fees to Mr. Sir were less than 30% of what I will end up paying because of mistakes that were made on the Marriage Dissolution Agreement. I understand it is my responsibility to read everything before I sign it, but not at any point in the time Mr. Sir was my lawyer was anything in the document explained to me, and when I asked a question I was told it was "Standard for this type of agreement"

From the secretary that answered the office telephone, all the way to my hearing, everyone I delt with was polite and professional.

I requested Mr. Sir’s assistance in the adoption case of my nephew who lives in Germany, based on the recommendations of other lawyers who had told me that he was experienced in handling such cases. This case was somewhat unusual because my nephew is an adult and does not reside in Davidson County. Mr. Sir handled the case both expertly and skillfully. In each of our meetings I was impressed with how carefully he listened before making decisions and how thorough he was in gathering the necessary information to handle the petition for this unusual adoption case. Once he knew the salient details he proceeded very quickly to formulate and to deliver the petition letter to the court. Corrections resulting from the intricacies of our familial relations were made promptly. Also, his interactions with the court as well as his action in the court hearing were admirable. His office staff seems to function efficiently under his supervision. Mr. Sir is a lawyer to whom I would return with other concerns without hesitation.

I first contacted the law office of Martin Sir & Associates in September 2010 when I was considering a divorce. I found them during an internet search for divorce lawyers. It was a random choice that I selected this firm. Unsure of what I would find, I made the call. The first person I spoke to was John Agee, Managing Paralegal. From the very first word spoken, he made me feel that I made the right decision by calling Martin Sir & Associates. He was professional, knowledgeable and compassionate. John took the time to answer all of my questions completely and thoroughly. I feel he sincerely cared about me. When I hung up the phone, I knew this was the firm to handle my divorce if that's the route I decided to take. A few months passed while I tried to make my marriage work. I even called John to say that I was reconsidering the divorce. He did not try to talk me into going ahead with the divorce and wished me well. Let me tell you we are experts on lawyers..We went through THREE lawyers and $30,000 + in 5 yrs during my husbands nasty divorce.
