Fundamentally, my approach to every case is "How do I efficiently accomplish my client's goal here?" The key is to break my cilents' obstacles down to their essential features and then find the path that best gets us to where we need to go. Not every problem can be solved, but by keeping an open mind and focusing on what really matters one can usually find a way to improve the situation. That may be through legal research and the resort to "hard" law in the form of statutes and cases, investigation and the development of key facts, negotiations with the other side, or (sometimes) just a good old fashioned cross-examination beat down. Whatever the best tactical approach is in a given case, identifying and exploiting it is critical to getting my clients where they need to go.
