Danny J. Collier Jr.

About me

I am Martindale-Hubbell “AV Preeminent” rated in Litigation, Construction Law and Insurance by other attorneys, peers and judges. According to Martindale-Hubbell, “An AV certification mark is a significant rating accomplishment attesting to the fact that a lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence.”

Since 1996, I have specialized in civil litigation.  I litigate and try cases in court. Typically, that involves wrongful death, personal injury, contract disputes and construction defects.  I have had the privilege and opportunity to try many jury trials, to include wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases. My experience includes work-place explosion, trucking accident, medical malpractice, products liability and premises liability cases. In addition, I have had extraordinary opportunities to handle construction litigation. Those clients include owners, general contractors, subcontractors, sureties, manufacturers and vendors.

Construction cases have ranged from single-family starter homes to million dollar custom homes, and from commercial to complex condominium construction. Recently, I successfully defended the window manufacturer sued by the installation subcontractor in a construction case arising out of the new engineering and computer science building at the University of South Alabama.

In bodily injury and construction cases, I vigorously takes up the indemnity agreements and additional insured agreements that are often overlooked. I am accustomed to pursuing the indemnity and additional insured angles, recovering clients’ defense and indemnity dollars.

I practice throughout Alabama and Mississippi.  See my website at
