About Me

Michael was born in Clearwater, Florida, graduated from Countryside High School in 1996, and earned his Bachelor of Arts in business administration from Saint Leo University in 2001.  Michael earned his Juris Doctor at Stetson University College of Law in 2004.


While at Stetson, Michael participated in the Judicial Internship Program for the Sixth Judicial Circuit - Pasco County, Florida, and the Public Defender Clinic for the Sixth Judicial Circuit -Pinellas County, Florida.  Michael was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2005.


While in private practice, Michael represented clients in both criminal and civil legal matters throughout Pasco, Hernando, Pinellas, and Hillsborough Counties.


Michael also graduated from the Pasco-Hernando State College Law Enforcement Academy, and he currently serves Pasco County as a Professional Standards Detective at the Pasco Sheriff's Office.
 
Michael also proudly serves our great Country as a Captain in the United States Army Reserve Judge Advocate General's Corps. Michael graduated from the Judge Advocate Officer Basic Course and the Judge advocate Officer Advanced Course in Charlottesville, Virginia, and the Direct Commission Course in Fort Benning, Georgia.


As a judge advocate in the Army Reserve, Michael practices law throughout a wide variety of legal disciplines including administrative law, criminal law, fiscal/contract law, operational law, and legal assistance. Michael is currently assigned to the Army Reserve Medical Command located at the C.W. Bill Young Armed Forces Reserve Center in Pinellas Park, Florida. 


Michael enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two sons, and his recreational hobbies include hunting, fishing, weightlifting, firearms, and competitive sports.  Michael also enjoys volunteering as field and plate umpire for the Greater Hudson Little League in Pasco County.


Michael's memberships and affiliations include the Florida Bar Association and the National Rifle Association.
