My friend needs to go to the court for invalid driver license ( was driving with his foreign driver license he is international student has been in US 4 months now) he asked me to go with him to the court to translate for him to the judge because ...
You probably won't be able to translate for him. Most courts have an interpreter that works through court administration and in most counties they are certified and are the only ones that are "official". If it is a language that requires a different translator then what is immediately available then the Judge will typically use the AT&T language line service or something similar.See question

It sounds like he may have called for a "DUI" officer who may have had more training and experience. DUI is a misdemeanor and the possession of Xanax is a felony. Do you have a prescription for the xanax? If so , that charge may go away. Is it a DUI that is alcohol and/or drugs? You need to consult with an experienced DUI lawyer to explain any and all defenses.See question

There is a possibility that you might be able to go back and undo one of the driving while license suspended citations and get it amended to a withhold of adjudication. We have had success in doing that in the past depending on the county. It beats not driving for a full year and then a restricted license for the four years after that.See question
I was involved in a motor vehicle accident and the other person was injured. What is going to happen to me in this kind of situation?
Under Florida Law the officer investigating a DUI that involved "serious" bodily injury can forcibly draw blood from you for the purposes of determining what your alcohol and/or blood level is. Of course, it is possible that causation may be an issue in the case and therefore the case may not be able to be filed as a felony. Depending on the extent of the injury, the penalty for such a crime can be very serious and may involve state prison. Additional information won't be available until we know the extent of the person's injuries. Some preliminary information may be obtained at the DMV hearing which must be requested within 10 days of the arrest.See question

Nobody can guarantee you a result but the big question everyone, including the state and Judge, will want to know is why was your license suspended? Are you able to reinstate it? If so, and you don't have two prions the State may be inclined to work with you on a non-jail result. Of course each county is different so knowing the policy of the office where your case is pending is very important.See question
Contact the clerk of court directly in the county in which the case was handled. Chances are the case is on microfiche. They should be able to provide you a certified copy of the disposition.See question
I'm 18 and this is my first offense. the police found it in my apartment and it was only about 2.5 grams. I complied with them and did what they said and they didn't take me to jail, but they said id be sent a summons in the mail. what happens now?
You will have to appear in court to deal with the case. Make sure you continue to check the clerk of court website under your name to make sure you have the right court date. Failure to appear in court will result in a warrant for your arrest. You may qualify for pre-trial diversion which is a program that if you successfully complete will result in a dismissal of your charge. Understand that if the state is seeking a conviction or an adjudication of guilt against you, you will lose your driver's license for a period of two years.See question
I was arrested for a DUI, but blew a .000 on the breathalyzer and my urine test is pending. On friday I took a hydrocodone for a headache, will this show up in the urine test? Will that cause a DUI charge to stick, even if it wasnt taken on the sa...
In Florida you get arrested if the officer thinks you are impaired. The breath test(or urine) either confirms or denies the officers suspicion. In your case the urine may come back positive for something, however they still have to prove that your normal faculties were impaired. They will attempt to do that through your driving pattern and field sobriety tests. In this window period of possibly several months your case will probably be just sitting in limbo. Of course, if you have a prescription for the hydocrodone that may help you dramatically since it may be lawfully prescribed and taken as directed.See question
