Reciprocal - Disbarment issued in NH, 2012

updated on 06/19/2023

This means that the attorney's misconduct in another state, or jurisdiction, also violated the rules for practicing law in New Hampshire.

Brian’s comment:

“Mr. Doherty received a 5-year suspension in Florida; discipline the American Bar Association Model Rules reference as disbarment. New Hampshire does not follow the American Bar Association Model Rules; it simply characterizes all long-term suspensions as disbarment. He has been notified by the Florida Supreme Court that he is eligible to apply for re-admission in Florida. Mr. Doherty has been notified by New Hampshire he is eligible for re-admission once he is re-instated in Florida.”
