About Me 

Attorney Vernon Guirguis has joined Kagan Law Firm where he focuses on Marital and Family Law, as well as Personal Injury Law.

 

Prior to joining Kagan Law, Guirguis handled a wide array of civil matters, including Dissolution of Marriage, Paternity Cases, Modifications of Child Support and Parental Rights, Dependency Actions, Foreclosure Defense, Landlord/Tenant Disputes, and General Civil Litigation matters. Before becoming an attorney, Guirguis gained nearly a decade of experience dealing with real estate and landlord/tenant matters.

 

Born and raised in Southwest Florida, Guirguis attended Fort Myers High School, where he received the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship to use towards his undergraduate studies. He then studied at Edison State College as well as Hodges University and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. While attending Hodges, Guirguis was placed on the Dean’s List and it was there that he set his mind on becoming an attorney.

 

Guirgus earned his juris doctor degree at Florida A&M College of Law in Orlando, where he was vice-president of one of the largest and most active organizations on campus, a member of his law school mock trial team, a representative for the Student Bar Association, the research assistant to the Death Penalty Seminar, and an intern at the Seminole County Public Defenders’ Office, as well as the Umansky Law Firm. In addition to his extracurricular activities, Guirguis managed to “book” his torts course in law school, receiving the highest grade in the class. He was also on the dean’s list, graduated cum laude,and passed the Florida Bar Exam.
