About me

Richard D. DeBoest, II is the co-founder and managing partner of Goede, Adamczyk,  DeBoest, & Cross PLLC. His practice is concentrated exclusively in community association law.

Mr. DeBoest regularly speaks and writes on community association law topics. In the past his presentations have covered topics such as assessment collection, conducting board meetings, community association law updates, covenant enforcement and financial aspects of association operation.

Richard is the co-author of the chapter on drafting condominium declarations in the book Florida Condominium and Community Association Law published by The Florida Bar. He also contributes as regular guest columnist on various Condo and HOA legal issues in the Naples Daily News, Stuart News, St. Lucie News Tribune and Indian River Press Journal.

Focusing on preventing problems before they occur and finding common sense solutions to problems after they occur is Mr. DeBoest’s personal philosophy with regard to practicing community association law. Additionally, he prides himself on making prompt personal service a cornerstone of the attorney-client relationship.

Staying in touch professionally is a key element of his success. Mr. DeBoest is a member of The Florida Bar and serves on its Condominium and Planned Development Committee. He is also on the Board of Directors of the South Gulf Coast Chapter of the Community Associations Institute and was the Chapter President for 2001, as well as having served as a past member of the Florida Legislative Alliance Committee.

Mr. DeBoest received his undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California in 1986 and his law degree from Nova Southeastern University in 1993. During law school he was Executive Editor of the Nova Law Review which is where he met his wife, Heather, who is also a lawyer.

Serving all of Southwest Florida including: Counties of Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Broward, Dade, Glades, Hendry, and Palm Beach.  Cities of Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Lehigh Acres, Naples, Bonita Springs, Marco Island, and LaBelle.
