There are several factors that go into determining alimony, length of marriage, your needs, his ability to pay, etc. As stated above, you are entitled to half of is retirement that accrued during the marriage. To start, you will need to file a petition asking for the marriage to be dissolved, your assets and debts to be dissolved, and alimony to be awarded.     Usually the person who keeps the house pays the other party one half of the equity. The house is marital since it was purchased after the marriage, and you are both on the title.
