About David Gilbert

About me

"Since 2010, I've represented thousands of individuals in the Tampa Bay area."

Attorney David P. Gilbert, owner of Gilbert Law firm, graduated from Stetson Univerity College of Law and received his bachelors degree in public communication from the University of South Florida. As a "quasi-native Floridian" (Tampa Bay resident for nearly 30 years), his familarity with the region and his ties to the community are a valuable asset for his firm.

While in law school, Mr. Gilbert performed pro bono work for several organizations, including the Criminal Appeals Division of the Florida Attorney General's Office and the Community Law Program, a non-profit organization that provides legal services to low-income and disadvantaged individuals.

Prior to entering the legal profession, Mr. Gilbert worked as a licensed claims adjuster for AIG Insurance (Workers' Compensation Claims) and also, as a law clerk for both civil and criminal attorneys in the Tampa area. In addition to these positions, Mr. Gilbert created several small businesses while in law school, including his own dietary supplement company and a marketing company for small businesses.

In October 2010, Gilbert Law Firm was established to provide skilled legal representation for personal injury / auto accident cases, traffic offenses, license suspension matters, DUI and criminal defense. Attorney Gilbert has handled thousands of cases and he works tirelessly to ensure that each case is given the personal attention and dedication it deserves.

Gilbert Law Firm continues to experience steady growth due to Attorney Gilbert's results-oriented approach and his obsession with efficiency, which translates into more affordable fees for his clients. Attorney Gilbert has recently been recognized by the National Trial Lawyers "Top 100 Trial Lawyers" and is also the most reviewed attorney on for Florida traffic ticket matters.
