This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority.
An admonition means an attorney did something wrong but may still practice law. The Bar gives the lawyer an admonition in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.
Charles’s comment: “This admonishement was a result of an email seeking collection of an unpaid account from a client where the client provided false information to the Florida Bar. The Bar found no misconduct associated with the representation of the client and only took issue with the threat to sue the client for defamation in connection with false statements to the bar.”
