Prior to joining Clark & Martino in 2012, Mr. Fernandez graduated with honors from the University of Florida in 2005 and went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law in 2008. While attending Stetson, Mr. Fernandez served as an intern for the Second District Court of Appeal and also served as a certified legal intern for both the State Attorney’s Office for the 13th Judicial Circuit and the Public Defender’s Office for the 6th Judicial Circuit. 


 


Upon acceptance to the Florida Bar in 2008, Mr. Fernandez practiced primarily in commercial litigation in both state and federal court as an associate with one of the oldest and most reputable law firms in Manatee County. In 2010, Mr. Fernandez accepted an appointment as a criminal prosecutor with the State Attorney’s Office for the 13th Judicial Circuit in Hillsborough County. During his career as a prosecutor in Tampa, Mr. Fernandez gained significant jury trial experience and successfully prosecuted well over a thousand misdemeanor and felony cases.
