Frank Kerney attended the University of South Florida where he earned a bachelor's degree in Political Science. Upon graduation from South Florida Frank went on to attend Stetson University College of Law where he earned a law degree and was initiated as a member of the school's invitation only academic honors fraternity. Upon graduation Frank accepted a position with Taracks Gomez & Rickman where he had interned during his final year of law school.
Frank practices in both the area of criminal defense and family law and has been the head of the Family Law division of Taracks Gomez & Rickman for several years. Frank understands that some cases require skilled negotiations while others require courtroom litigation and he is therefore dedicated to fighting for his clients both in and out of the courtroom. In 2013 alone Frank completed well over 30 full trials and settled dozens of other cases outside of court through mediation or face-to-face settlement conferences with opposing counsel.
Frank also prides himself on keeping up with updates to the law and attending continuing legal education courses. He has completed both the 2014 Masters of DUI Seminar and the 2014 Marital and Family Law Review Course this year alone. By understanding the ever-evolving changes in the statutes and case law, Frank is able to properly advise his clients and gain an advantage in the courtroom. Frank also knows that his clients often need that valuable advice outside of "normal" business hours and therefore provides his clients with his personal cell phone number to ensure that he is always just a phone call away.
