I have used several attorneys in the past. When I moved here it was important for me to find an attorney that could help me with the purchase of my home. Mrs. Shaughnessy assisted me and the purchase was flawless. Can't thank her and her staff enough.

Going through a divorce is never easy, but Mara genuinely helped both legally and emotionally. She kept me informed every step of the way and helped make a trying time easier for me.

I contracted Mara to assist with the short sale closing of my home. She and her staff were excellent about keeping me informed. I can't say enough about how easy they made the emotionally difficult experience for me.

I hired Ms. Shaughnessy to assist me with the short sale of my home. She was very informative and helpful during the intitial consultation, & I looked forward to working with her. All she needed to get started was my $1,000 retainer. Too make a long story short, I gave her my hard earned $1,000 only to never speak with her again. I called, left messages for her, never a call back. I was only able to relay messages to her through the secretary. Out of frusturation, I requested my money back & was told that my case would be reviewed to see what $ remains. Unless my 20 minute consultation was $1,000, I thought for sure I would get most if not all of my money back. After a couple months and many follow up calls, I finally got a letter in the mail telling me that I would not be getting any of my money back. I had my realtor follow up to at least try and get something for my money, but I'm not sure what was actually done, if anything. I learned my lesson, but hopefully someone will read this & be fortunate enough to spend their money elsewhere.

Ms. Shaughnessy handled my family law matter with complete professionalism. If you are going through a divorce or other family law matter, I would suggest that you contact Mara.

I contacted Mara to help me with a loan modification. After being rejected several times by my bank I was frustrated and did not know what to do. The entire staff worked to get my loan modification approved and now my family can stay in our home. I cannot thank them enough.

Promised me a copy of a three day letter, never delivered on that promise. Did not answer emails in regard to renter payment issues. After 6 weeks still has not refunded promised monies.

I would highly recommend Mara. I contacted her regarding a foreclosure matter. It was important for me to be able to save my home. Ms. Shaughnessy was able to work with my bank to lower my payments and keep my family in my home.

I hired Ms. Shaughnessy to assist me during the short sale of my home. After our initial consultation, I paid $500 to retain her services. Over the next four months, I only heard from her after I left persistent emails and phone messages. Once she did respond, the messages were vague and inconclusive. I was copied on an email four months later where she advised me there was nothing she could do for me. Four months and $500 later, I still am not sure what she actually did on my behalf. If you are looking for an attorney that communicates with you and answers your questions in a timely manner, I suggest you find someone other than Ms. Shaughnessy.

Ms. Shaughnessy displayed calm confidence and vast knowledge during an otherwise stressful mediation, thereby successfully ending a long mitigation.

Mara Shaughnessy is an honest caring professional. I recently used her for a real estate transaction and was very pleased with her services. The transaction went smoothly and she was very good about having all of the information and being prepared. She is upfront and considerate, patient and pleasent to be around. I highly reccomend her. She has a good reputation among her peers and associates.

Mara did a great job for my wife and me. We were a little apprehensive at first and she made up feel right at home. She is extremely knowledable about the law and answered all of our questions without any hesitation. We have used other attorneys in the past and will never call another attorney unless Mara tell us to.
