We have used Joy off and on for the last 8 years as needed. She is very professional and knows her business better than any family attorney we have dealt with personally or have experienced from the other side. She always choses the high road in spite of being provoked to do otherwise but is appropriately challenging when she needs to be. It is a hard business to maintain a professional demeanor among so many that have to bully to make their mark. Joy will not disappoint.....

Since 2004, Joy has represented me off and on initially with my divorce, and subsequently with court child custody and child support issues. Joy is very nuts and bolts, extremely knowledgeable and experienced with family law and the court system with lots of background examples to draw from she used to support my case. She has a unique knack for looking at your case from so many angles. For my situation, I am very proactive and Joy allowed me to use this trait when appropriate to help get really basic things done. I love that she (and her husband Richard) are very down to earth, simple and to-the point. Her style is clear and no-nonsense and she is not at all shaken or intimidated by bullying. She is super smart, but always listens to what I have to say even if it is irrelevant. (like I know something she doesn't). Bartmon and Bartmon is a firm that is a "special" find, I highly recommend her.
