My practice is focused on representing businesses and individuals in complex commercial and contract litigation on a variety of issues, including breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty claims, partnership and corporate disputes, intellectual property disputes, fraud, and unfair and deceptive trade practices actions. I also handle matters regarding substantial probate and real estate litigation.
In the employment context, I represent clients involving non-competition agreements, protection of trade secrets, and severance agreements.
I also handle appellate matters and have prepared and argued appeals in both state and federal courts.
I am an active member of the Palm Beach County Bar Association, The Florida Bar, and the American Bar Association. I served as the 2010-11 President of the Palm Beach County Bar Association, as an elected member of the PBCBA’s Board of Directors, as the 2008-09 chair of the PBCBA's Professionalism Committee and as the 2006-07 chair of its Committee on Diversity. I was the creator and 2008 and 2009 chair of the PBCBA’s “Leadership Academy”, the goal of which is to educate and motivate young lawyers to become leaders with respect to ethical, professional and community service issues. I currently serve as the Chair of the PBCBA's Judicial Campaign Practices Commission which monitors judicial elections and provides advisory opinions in response to written complaints regarding judicial candidates.
From 2009 through 2015 I served on the Florida Bar's Constitutional Judiciary Committee (2 years as chair, 2 years as vice-chair), which focuses on strengthening Florida's Judiciary and maintaining its independence, as well as developing programs to promote civics education. I previously served six years as a member of The Florida Bar’s Standing Committee on Professionalism and chaired the Masters Seminar on Professionalism presented at The Florida Bar’s annual meeting.
I am the current Vice Chair of the Early Learning Coalition of Palm Beach County. Founded in 1999, the Coalition works to determine the needs of young children in the community, develops plans and works in collaboration with community partners to ensure children are ready for school, evaluates the quality of early childhood services, oversees Florida’s free Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten program, administers funding for the school readiness program and coordinates training for early learning providers.
I am a member of the Village of Wellington's Charter Review Task Force and a Candidate for Wellington Village Council.

Michael aggressively pursues his cases while adhering to the highest ethical standards. It comes as no surprise that Michael has earned an AV rating from Martindale Hubbell, which is the highest rating possible regarding legal ability and professional ethics. I am proud to endorse Michael Napoleon — a terrific trial attorney and a good friend.
