I was born in Chicago, Illinois and have been a South Florida resident since the age of 4. I fondly recall weekends spent with my dad, fishing the clear waters of Biscayne Bay and watching the Super Bowl champion Miami Dolphins dominate in the Orange Bowl.
During High School and prior to attending attending Law School, I worked at Say Service, dad's air conditioning, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical contracting and service business. I learned about customer service and running a small business as South Florida experienced major population growth following the arrival of mass produced central air conditioning systems.
I earned my B.S. in Economics from Florida State University, receiving the distinction of Cum Laude. I assisted Professor Fred Bell with his research to determine the economic value of Florida's Marine Fishery Industry. I also read and tape recorded textbook assignments for students in the blind reading room of Strozier Library.
While in graduate school, I interned at the Governor's Office in the Department of Revenue and Economic Analysis and worked on Florida's Annual Cost of Living Reports. I received my M.S. in Economics from Florida State and returned to South Florida and Say Service prior to attending Law School.
While in Law School, I was a legal intern at the Department of Natural Resources in the Division of Beaches and Shores, a research assistant in law and economics to Professor Don Weidner, an intern at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Tallahassee and a law clerk to several bankruptcy attorneys.
After graduation, I was hired by The Travelers Insurance Company as a claims adjuster for their National Accounts Group. I continued with The Travelers until my desire to exclusively represent the injured became ignited.
I draw upon my foundation in small business, economics, the public sector, academia, the Insurance industry and 25 years devoted to the practice of Personal Injury Law.
