About Me

I started my practice in Fort Lauderdale after graduating on law review from Georgetown Law in Washington, D.C. over 30 years ago. I met my wife here and we raised our family here and have participated in the tremendous cultural and business growth in Florida we have witnessed since the early eighties. I personally am an inventor, business owner, programmer, musician and artist and as such understand and enjoy advising clients on protecting and fighting for their inventions, business brands and artistic works. I am fortunate to work for a firm based in Silicon Valley that has international and national contacts in software, media, healthcare, and new technology and supports me in keeping current on evolving legal issues.

  • A Margaret Hesford

I have known Scott since 1989, and have worked with him on several cases, where he is the IP "specialist", and I am the litigator. It sounds simple, but Scott really "knows his stuff". For this reason, I have recommended him to some of my business clients, at least one of whom continues to use him on a regular basis for trademark matters, which are an ongoing part of that client's business. I recommend him without reservation.

I highly recommend Scott for intellectual property matters. I have referred multiple clients to Scott over more than 20 years, including as recently as last month. My clients benefit from Scott's expertise and continuing effort to be at the forefront if this ever-changing field. He is thorough, knows his field, and has taken a leadership role in several aspects of both domestic and international intellectual property law. I have no hesitancy in endorsing him.
