About Me

Jonathan Pollard's primary area of practice is complex commercial litigation.  He focuses his practice on cases involving employment disputes, antitrust and business torts.  Although based in Fort Lauderdale, Jonathan practices throughout the state of Florida.  Prior to establishing Pollard LLC, Jonathan was an attorney at the prominent litigation firm Boies, Schiller & Flexner.  Representative matters include:

  • Representing investors who lost billions of dollars with the Fairfield Greenwich Funds in one of the country's largest fraud cases

  • Participating in the defense of American Express in a major antitrust case brought by the Department of Justice.

  • Prosecuting antitrust claims on behalf of First Quality, a consumer products company, against Kimberly Clark.

  • Defending a prominent wine & spirits executive in non-compete litigation against his former company, Southern Wine & Spirits.

Jonathan earned his B.A. from Cornell University, where he served as the President of the Cornell Speech & Debate Team, earning honors as a national finalist and an All-American. During his time at Cornell, Jonathan was named a College Scholar, awarded a research fellowship through the Andrew Mellon Foundation, and selected as an inaugural member of the Goldman Sachs Global Leaders Program. In his senior year, he was tapped by University leaders to represent Cornell in the Rhodes Scholar competition.

Jonathan earned his J.D. from Georgetown University, where he was awarded a full scholarship and served as an associate editor of the Georgetown Law Journal. While working with Georgetown's asylum clinic, Jonathan and a classmate successfully represented a Cameroonian refugee in an asylum proceeding. Throughout law school, Jonathan served as a contributing writer for a number of legal publications, including The Hedge Fund Law Report and The Native American Report.

Prior to law school, Jonathan taught high school English in southwest Baltimore, Maryland.  He is the founder, coach and a major sponsor of the speech & debate program at Boyd Anderson High School, in Lauderdale Lakes.
