Short answer, yes you can. Longer answer, it would be insane to. Cons, tons of them: insurance companies have very good lawyers whereas I'm assuming you are not a trained attorney, advantage ins. co. Since there are multiple vehicles involved, benefits may exhaust and you may get nothing even if you have a great claim; proving all damages is tricky even for some new attorneys, for non-attorneys it's mission impossible. The list goes on!!! Pros? only one: you won't have to share your money...

The best person to discuss this with is your attorney; that's why you are (or will be) paying him. I am a little confused as to why you only have $2,000.00 in PIP when the required amount is $10,000.00. Regarding the medical bills, they can always be reduced, but I'm going to go on a different route than other attorneys here concerning the bills from the doctor that was arrested for fraud. While it may be a little easier to negotiate the bills with this doctor, the fact is that arrest does...

Various misstatements here. First of all, if it is an IME (so called "Independent Medical Examination" which is as independent as the "People's Republic of China" is of the people) then it is not those who hit you, but your own insurance company who is requesting this examination. Second, the fact that you have a bulging disc or two, does not necessarily mean you can recover from the other side. Lastly, if you have an attorney, then pay attention to him; it does not help you to vent in this...

While it's nice to get freebies, you got a service and if the price is reasonable and comparable to what others are charged, you will probably be required to pay it, so go ahead and pay it and next time ask for a price before getting the service.
