Richard L. Cooper is a criminal defense attorney handling all types of State and Federal crimes and serving all of Florida.
Richard L. Cooper earned his Bachelors degree from Nova Southeastern University’s Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences and his Juris Doctorate from Nova’s Shepard Broad Law Center. While in college, Mr. Cooper spent summers and any free time he had working for his father’s law firm in Atlanta. During his matriculation through college, Mr. Cooper spent a year studying Australian law and politics at Queensland, Australia’s Bond University. It was his time in Australia that shaped his view on people and the world around it, believing that all people are connected and that the only way to help the world was to help people. It was there that he realized his goal in life to serve the greater good. Upon return to the United States, Richard turned his goals to becoming a lawyer. Immediately after graduation, Mr. Cooper enrolled in Nova’s Shepard Broad Law Center where he was an active and ever excelling student in both academics and extracurricular associations.
Upon receiving his Juris Doctorate degree, Mr. Cooper became a member of the Florida Bar and now serves all of Florida defending those who have been accused of committing crimes of all types. Whether it’s petty theft or white collar Federal Crimes, no case is too big or too small and Mr. Cooper is ready, willing and able to defend your case with passion and zeal. Mr. Cooper is a member of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Dade County Bar Association, and the Coral Gables Bar Association.
While practicing Criminal Defense work, Richard takes on a limited amount of Personal Injury cases, utilizing his knowledge and experience of Florida Automobile Accident Law. It is this personal touch that all his clients receive that makes Richard L. Cooper stand out in the sea of competitors.
