Walter is licensed to practice law in the state of Florida and the Federal Middle District Court of Florida. He attended undergrad at Cornell University graduating with honors with concentrations in economics and international labor. While at Cornell, Walter worked as a research assistant analyzing data on economic growth, working conditions, poverty and income inequality in five developing countries. Walter later co-authored a chapter in a book called Pathways Out of Poverty: Private Firms and Economic Mobility in Developing Countries, published by the World Bank through Kluwer Academic Publishers. He was also an intern on Capitol Hill for the late Senator Edward Kennedy where he worked on the Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) committee.
Walter graduated from Florida State University College of Law, cum laude. While in law school he was a member of the Journal of Transnational Law and Policy, received certificates in Legal Research, International Law, and Pro Bono Service. In the last summer of law school, Walter worked for the State Department in San Jose, Costa Rica as a member of the the International Narcotics and Legal Team in the Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs.
Walter has private sector legal experience working as a case coordinator for Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP in New York City for over four years. His focus was on litigation and white collar crime, where he gained extensive experience working on numerous trials across the east coast and the Midwest.
