Nishad Khan is principal of Nishad Khan P.L. His practice is concentrated in all aspects of real estate law including acquisitions, development, residential and commercial transactions, the drafting of leases and contracts, loan work outs, short sales, foreclosure defense and resolving issues related to title insurance. Nishad also focuses on the formation of business entities like corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, the structuring of debt and equity investments, and the negotiation and preparation of corporate agreements.
His transactional experience includes a judicial externship with The Honorable A. Thomas Mihok in the Civil Division of the Ninth Judicial Circuit of Orange County, in which he gained valuable experience drafting memoranda of law, judicial opinions, and proposed orders and researching substantive and procedural issues on everything from post-conviction motions to complex commercial litigation involving significant corporations. Subsequently, Nishad worked at a mid-size commercial law firm advising businesses and individuals on real estate acquisition, asset preservation, planning and community development.
During law school, Nishad represented several indigent clients before an immigration judge in the areas of human rights abuse and political asylum, and unlawful detention. Subsequently, he spent a year with a New York based non-profit organization providing legal aid to victims of hate crimes and ethnic discrimination.
