Laura Moffett graduated from the University of Central Florida with a B.S. in legal studies in 2004. While attending the University of Central Florida, Ms. Moffett was a member of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International which is a professional law fraternity advancing integrity, compassion and courage through service to the student, the school, the profession and the community. Ms. Moffett also worked as a legal assistant while attending the University of Central Florida, and continued working as a legal assistant and later a paralegal after graduating from the University of Central Florida and while attending Barry University School of Law.
Ms. Moffett earned her Juris Doctor from Barry University School of Law in 2009. While attending Barry University School of Law Ms. Moffett continued her membership in Phi Alpha Delta, became a founding member of the Environmental Law Society at Barry, and was a member of Central Florida Association for Women Lawyers as a student member.
Ms. Moffett received the Barry Achievement in Civic Excellence Fellowship, where she worked diligently as a certified legal intern representing children in the Barry School of Law’s Children and Families Legal Clinic. Ms. Moffett was also chosen to lead as the American Bar Association Lieutenant Governor of Student Bar Associations for the 5th District, Student Division; served as Vice President of the Student Bar Association at Barry School of Law, was chosen by her professor for the respectable position of Teaching Assistant, and later Head Teaching Assistant of the Legal Research and Writing Program. Ms. Moffett also participated in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, which was recognized with the National Achievement Award from the American Bar Association Law Student Division, for six consecutive years.
Since graduating from Barry University School of Law, Ms. Moffett has dedicated her practice to Family Law and is a skilled, knowledgeable and passionate advocate for her clients. Ms. Moffett became an active member of Rotary International, Altamonte Springs in 2013. Through Rotary, Ms. Moffett often volunteers her time for different charities and organizations in Central Florida. Ms. Moffett is licensed to practice law in Florida, and the United States Federal Court for the Middle district of Florida.
