About Me

Suzanne grew up an Army brat in Huntsville, Alabama. She moved to Florida in 1999 and now calls Central Florida home. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) with a Bachelor of Arts in English in 1991. In her previous career as a systems engineer, Suzanne worked for a number of start-up software and heath care technology firms as well as running her own consulting business. After ten years in the software industry, Suzanne went on to obtain her Juris Doctor from Barry University School of Law, graduating cum laude. She previously worked as an associate attorney at ShuffieldLowman, where she specialized in corporate transactions and intellectual property transactions and litigation. She has advised numerous start-ups and small businesses, helping her clients turn their ideas into growing businesses. Suzanne has published articles in, among others, the American Bar Association’s annual intellectual property law review and regularly speaks on the topics of electronic discovery and intellectual property law. She is admitted to practice before the State Courts of Florida, and the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida.

In her spare time, Suzanne volunteers as a Guardian ad Litem with the Legal Aid Society, serves as the Treasurer of the Central Florida Association for Women Lawyers, and is on the Board of Directors for the Victim Service Center of Orange County. In addition, she loves travel, scuba diving with her husband Tim, playing with her dog Legal, and is a gourmet cook.
