Scott joined the law firm of Gibson & Jarvis, P.A. to dedicate his practice primarily to individuals and small local businesses in Santa Rosa and Escambia counties, Florida. Scott was born and raise in the Pace area attending Pace Elementary School (now S. S. Dixon), Pace Middle School (now Sims), and Pace High School. After high school Scott attended Pensacola Junior College (now Pensacola State College), the Florida State University, and then Cumberland School of law as more detailed below. His father, Danny Warrick, mother, Eileen Warrick, and brother, Donnie Warrick, have owned and operated multiple construction related business in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. Scott has many family members and friends throughout the local community.
Prior to joining the firm, Scott practiced law working for insurance companies defending claims and gained experience in civil defense litigation including personal injury, construction law, insurance coverage law, professional liability, corporate transactions, and employer liability. Scott graduated with high honors from Cumberland School of Law, where he participated in trial training programs and was a member of the Cumberland Law Review and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. While in law school Scott received book awards in Evidence, Secured Transactions, Constitutional Law, Law Office Practice and Management and Municipal Courts Practice and Procedure as well as other awards including the Scholarship of Merit Award, George M. Stewart Banking Award, and Dean’s Spirit of Service Award. Prior to entering law school, Scott was a Senior Scientist at a technology services company providing research and development for the Department of Defense as well as private industry. Scott has an undergraduate degree in Statistics and Mathematics and Master’s Degree in Applied Statistics from the Florida State University.
Scott’s current practice encompasses car accidents, general personal injury, general law practice, general litigation, foreclosure defense, debt collection defense, consumer protection, landlord/tenant law, and insurance coverage law. He is admitted admitted to practice in all Florida state courts, Alabama state courts, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida. Scott is a member of and has served on the executive board of the Escambia/Santa Rosa Bar Association and is a member of the Pensacola Chapter of Inns of Court, the Mobile Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
