Keith Halpern is the founding managing attorney of the Halpern Law Firm, P.L.C., practicing in Property, Foreclosure Defense, Family Law, and Estate Planning. Mr. Halpern is a member of the Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar.
Formerly with Legal Services of North Florida for five years, Mr. Halpern serves homeowners and families throughout Florida. Keith was previously engaged as a Senior Management Consultant with Price Waterhouse serving Fortune 500 Companies. Mr. Halpern also served as C.E.O. for 14 years in a metropolitan Washington, D.C. financial and property management, and healthcare consulting firm.
Recently, Mr. Halpern published several recent Circuit Court decisions involving Foreclosure Dismissals & Property Cases; He is the author of “Domestic Asset Protection Trusts—What is the State of Your Asset Protection?” He has been a recent guest lecturer in Foreclosure Defense at the Florida State University, College of Law; and is presently instructing attorneys in a 4-part series on Advanced Foreclosure Defense Practice.
He has recently lectured at Community & public interest seminars involving foreclosure avoidance and loan workouts, including the 2011 and 2012 Tallahassee Mayor’s Summit on Diversity, and is lecturing in a multi-part series on Foreclosure Avoidance.
An FSU Law School Graduate, Keith was Founding President of the F.S.U., College of Law, Real Property and Trust Law Society; and was Articles Editor of the FSU, College of Law, Land Use Journal.
Keith is a Graduate of the University of Virginia, McIntire School of Commerce, and holds a dual-degree in Finance and Management Information Systems, with technical minors in Accounting and Economics.
Keith is a vigorous advocate for Fair Housing, and continues to actively serve at Legal Services of North Florida, as a pro-bono counsel.
Keith is an active board member and volunteer at his daughter's elementary school in NE Tallahassee, and is a Commercial Pilot and Instructor.
