A mutual friend recommended Ethan Way for a revisit of my divorce papers in regards to my children. At my first review of his work, I was sure my minor proceedings would not be a priority. WOW! was I ever wrong. During the time Ethan worked with me, I felt like I was his primary client (even though I knew it wasn't true). Ethan was an excellent communicator via email (my preferred method). Response to emails was expedient during the time working up to the hearing. If we needed to discuss something in greater detail, Ethan was easily reached via phone and office staff was helpful in making connections when needed.
Ethan did a great job preparing me for the court hearing and although I was nervous, Ethan was calm, cool and collected and "in his element" in front of the judge and ex's husband attorney and even wrote me a "you're doing great, breathe" note which helped me in a very uncomfortable proceeding.
If you are reading this and still debating on an attorney, stop now and hire Ethan Way.

When I called Ethan, for the first time he was more then helpful. Not only with answering my questions for what was next, but also with my parents. One of the hardest parts of going through a legal process is having to do it with your parents. Ethan was very helpful when it came to calming my parents down and getting them to feel a little more at ease with the situation. He was always there when we needed a family conference, or just to talk about how we will handle this case. Even after court was finished he has still been great at responding to my emails and helping me get through this very difficult process. This was my first time ever dealing with a Lawyer and I have to say that I am glad I choose Ethan. He has been more then helpful in every possible way.

Ethan Way is outstanding as seen in his other numerous reviews. However, i can tell you what makes him the best lawyer around. He was a former prosecutor who knows numerous prosecutors and judges on a friendly basis. This takes his performance to the next level. Without this past experience I can assure you almost any lawyer would fail where he triumphs above and beyond what is required or standard. Even when you are not an "active" client of his, he responds to you on days like thanksgiving which i just experienced first hand. I can promise no other lawyer or mostly anybody even answers a business call on thanksgiving when it doesn't even involve money, after not speaking for months. Not only does Mr. Way have a great past experience as a prosecutor giving him a huge advantage, he is also a board certified trial attorney which only 1% of lawyers actually are. Not only that but he doesn't charge outrageous fee's. You are getting a better version of Johnny Cockrin for a fraction of the cost. I am writing all this from the heart, as Mr. Way has saved my life not only once but numerous times. I should have gone to prison with over 100 points, with the state requiring mandatory prison for only 44 points, and violated probation and still have not gone to prison. This is a man of integrity who deserves the praise I am giving him, as his perfect 10 out of 10 speaks for itself, i can only hope that anyone in a position like mine or worse would do the best thing for themselves and hiring Mr. Way would be the best thing!

Unbelievable attorney. I had a DUI in December of 2010, and a previous DUI that had been reduced to a reckless before that (handled by a different lawyer). Not only did I need a lawyer to deal with the hell that revolves around a DUI charge, I also had very unique circumstances - first I needed to travel abroad for a family emergency only a week after my arrest, and then had to relocate for a job at the very beginning of my probation.

From the beginning, Mr. Way was extremely understanding and dedicated to solving all of my problems. He was extremely informative, and kept me updated with any changes that happened on my case. He is always readily available, whether via phone or email, at all hours of the day, and responded right away to every question I had. In Florida he is very well connected and knows exactly who to speak to to speed up processes or get better results. Throughout multiple times since my arrest, Mr. Way was given extremely tight deadlines to help me out and was always able to find a way.

He's also very affordable and enabled me to pay in partial payments to help ease the cost. I wish I had gone to him for my first arrest instead.

He has a positive effect on his client, to an extent far beyond his clients, given the sad situation that brings them to Ethan Way. He is so responsible and communicative. He is a gift from G-d, being that he can save one life, and each life is an entire world. I as a single mother with no one to help me with the most stressful time in my son's life.
I thought I would lose him forever, in more ways than one. Not only did Ethan Way find a solution when it seemed their could not be one, he was a role model for my 22 year old son,. He became father, attorney, and tough brother, all wrapped up in one amazing package- he is a gift- a present. No money would ever be enough for the good he does. He is simply a NATIONAL TREASURE.

P.S. just for the record , before working with Ethan Way, and the various times I worked with attorneys, they were all the worst experience in my life. I have been a client of Ethans' for almost 8 years. Started with him when he was at gentry&way law firm. He has handled numerous different family issues for me over this time period.

My son was arrested at college late on a Friday afternoon. I had no knowledge or experience with criminal attorneys in Tallahassee, Florida. It was well into the evening, and I had nowhere to turn. My brother is a labor attorney and he suggested Ethan simply based on the word of some of his colleagues. My wife and I were distraught, and it was well past 9 PM on a Friday when I placed a call to Ethan. Mr. Way was hired to represent my son in a messy case which involved numerous misdemeanor and felony charges. I retained Ethan for a family law case. I am in law enforcement I met Ethan during a criminal prosecution case. I found him to be down to earth and approachable. I would cross paths with Ethan professionally and socially over the next few years.

I was living through a diffficult time with my former wife as she was making many decisions involving my son in a controlling manner. The fact that I had moved on and found someone else made her terrible to deal with and even tougher on my new wife. I decided to go speak with Ethan. This was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Ethan listened to everything I brought to him and provided calm and reassuring guidance along the way through a nearly 4 year ordeal. In the end, Ethan's advise and guidance paid off. My former wife had hired and fired three lawyers. His legal sense was on the money, I never fealt as if he was churning up fees and filing unnecessary motions. Ethan had a great sense for what the opposing lawyer would do and was always prepared with a response. I could not have done better.

I had a few charges on me from 2006. Years later I find out that I had violated some terms of the probation. I needed to clear 3 VOP warrants from my record.

My previous lawyer, who handled the original charges, was (and still is) a friend of mine I met through the company for which I I worked. He was a good guy and I believe he did the best but I have learned in the years since that he may not be part of the elite lawyers in the Tallahasse area.

So my search was on to find a great attorney who also had a resonable retainer. After days of searching the web and talking to a few friends who work for the state, Ethan was the name to popped up.

Now here was the result... just so you know how important it is to pick the right lawyer:

My oringinal lawyers best plea deal X days in jail, 200 hours community service, 1 year supervised probation plus fines, court costs, probation fees etc.

Ethan got me the same number of days... but nothing else. No probation, no monthly visits from the probation officer, no communtiy service... just did a few days and Ethan got the state to call it even.

Unless you have been on supervised probation and slammed with hundreds of hours of community service... you have no idea how HUGE this was for me. Since I now live out of state, I could have lost a great job dealing with court appearences, probation check in and lost hours of work to do community service hours.

Here is a great story about a friend of mine who has also faced criminal charges. I directed him a few years ago to the lawyer I first used on this case. My friend fired him after about 2 months. He then went to a very expensive law firm in Tallahasse who had him on a $20,000 retainer plus he had to spend almost another $10,000 on depositions and all kinds of crazy stuff. After $30,000 and very little movement on his case, he is now on his third attorney. Here is the point, I asked my friend to email Ethan a question while I was being held. Ethan responded back in a matter of moments like he always does. My friend relayed the info to me but had a lot more to say. He couldn't believe, now that he has gone through three different lawyers, how fast Ethan is to respond to any and all your questions. He spent $30,000 dollars on a lawyer who wouldn't even email him back.

Even if your case isn't the biggest one Ethan is working on, he can somehow make you feel like you are his top priority. I know he's busy and I don't understand how he does that... just very happy that I found Ethan.

I have sent three very close friends of mine to the first attoney I used, and even thought that attorney is still a friend of mine, I feel horriable for the friends I sent his way because I just don't think he is great in the courtroom. So if I can help point people in need to one of the best in Tallhassee, then I hope I that will make up for my earlier uninformed opinions. Now that I have gone through a few lawyers and close friends have gone to many more, I can give you a VERY informed opinion. Just call Ethan and see what you think for yourself.
