About Me

A former Assistant District Attorney, prosecuting felonies for Savannah - Chatham County, before becoming a criminal defense trial attorney based in the Golden Isles, I have spent more hours inside the Superior, State and Federal courtrooms of southern Georgia over the past fifteen years than most. I have tried more than fifty felony cases in front of juries, including seven Murder trials.

Branching out into Federal law was a natural step, and one that I have fully embraced, since being admitted to the Southern District of Georgia in 2002. I have written and argued Federal Motions to Suppress, successfully argued for sentences lower than those recommended by the Government pursuant to the Federal Sentencing Guidelines numerous times, shaving years off of actual months served pursuant to Federal guilty pleas, and have tried cases before a Federal jury, including a $40Million+ RICO criminal case.

I have appellate experience in the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Supreme Court of Georgia, and the United States District Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, including numerous published and cited cases.
