How do you win ...? Hire an attorney. Custody battles are not as simple as you are thinking. If your child is being supported well BECAUSE mom is living with her parents, that may be good enough for you to lose. Also, a court may have questions about why you have waited until the child turned 5 years old. The point is that we, on the internet, cannot answer your question. At the very least, you should find a competent and experienced family law attorney to advise you on what is in yours...

  2. If my son (17) was at a party, drank, then was involved in an accident, can we go after the person who's party it was?

I am going to assume your son was driving. If your son was 15, say, the answer would be easier. At 17, can you, on behalf of your son, say that the adults are responsible for not managing the party properly? Legally, yes; but, I am not sure how likely this would be. Still, I STRONGLY recommend you actually meet and talk to an attorney, as I'd have lots and lots of questions, if you were in the room talking to me -- none of these questions are answered by your brief post.

Couple of quick points. First, absent your wife's permission, you will have to file for divorce in the county where she lives. Second, you have to know where she is at and have her served. Third, if it is "uncontested" and the two of you have talked out the terms, never of these issues should be a problem. Finally, if there is no court appearance required, I am guessing that the cheapest you will find is maybe around $500.00 for the attorney and $205.00 approximately for the court filing...

Please hire an attorney or seek help from Georgia Legal Services or some other pro bono organization. What you want to do is best done with an attorney involved. Good luck!

If this happened in the past 2 years, you should consult with an attorney IMMEDIATELY!!! This is an awful and horrible situation. If you wanted to talk to me about it, I would be happy to do so and/or I can give you some references. Do not delay in contacting an attorney. You and your family are entitled to justice, even if it is just an attorney who reviews the situation for you. I hope that you and your family find peace.

Just send a letter of confirmation in with your payment. If you are not personally going to clerk's office, send the letter certified/read receipt.

My heart goes out to you, but do not let fear control you. Stop being concerned that their lies, and their credibility, can harm you. If you want to protect yourself, please find yourself an attorney; if you cannot afford one, that's not the end of the world. More importantly, find yourself a support network or therapist, who can help you break out of this cycle of abuse you find yourself. You need to grow and become strong and stop letting these horrible addicts control you. I would like...

I would suggest that you talk to an attorney in the Philliipines IF your Husband ever lived there with you. Yes, you can pursue him for child support and, frankly, other property and alimony claims here in Georgia, but you may have more powerful rights in the Phillipines. There are certainly some tools available for the financially misfortunate here -- Child Support Recovery offices, Georgia Legal Services, and local and state bar "Pro Bono" projects. But, I am not sure if you are able to...

Can you be charged with a crime? Yes for making a false statement on a government document. is it likely? No. Can this entitle you to annulment? Only if you were still married at the time of the remarriage; an annulment is where the marriage itself was never consumated or a fraud and the fact that you lied on the document should not affect the validity of the marriage. Also, just so you know, generally speaking, there is very little difference between annulling a marriage versus classifying...

I started my answer to what appears to be another part of your post. At this point, I am very, very pessimistic about the chances that you can find an attorney, but you need to concentrate on firms in FL, if that is where the alleged malpractice occurred. As my other post stated, you probably cannot do this on your own. Good luck!
