    In most states the insurance on the car is primary and the driver's insurance is secondary. Check with a local attorney.

    Best advice is find out what happened to the car. Contact the impound lot. They will tell you if the police have put a hold on the car. If there is a hold on the car, I would suggest you hire an attorney before talking to the police.

The agent is in the best position to let you know the life insurer's process for naming a minor as a beneficiary and how they would handle the distribution of funds in a way that most protects your child..

    If you have no complications, it would be best to be reasonable. Let them make you an offer. Then negotiate with them until you reach an amount that compensates you for for your injuries as well as pain and suffering.
