Accountability means everything to me. Mr Johnson was efficient in his work. The fact that I knew nothing about law, he didn't take advantage of the situation . He educated me and informed me of the nature of my case and what to expect. I am very pleased with his work and wish I could pay him more than he's charging. I hope I never get in trouble with the law, but if I do? I would definitely have him as my lawyer.
Mr Van Johnson was by far the best attorney for my case. My case was handled carefully in Gwinnett County. I was explained step by step how the process would go. Not only was Mr. Van Johnson extremely professional he started my case with little to no money that i had without hesitation. I thank you Mr. Van Johnson for being patient with me and delivering the outcome that you said you would. If i only could say one thing about Mr Van Johnson it would be that he stands by his word!!!! If you looking for a great attorney look no further.
I hired Mr. Van Johnson to help my husband in a child support case. He showed up to court to help represent him but did not make it on time. My husband was sent to jail for failure to pay support (due to financial inability) , but we were able to get him out on a purge. Mr. Van Johnson then informed us that we needed to file for a legitimation case, which we pursued and hired Mr. Van Johnson to represent him on that case. We never saw a court day. Mr. Van Johnson withdrew from the case the day before my husband was due in court to get his rights for his older daughter his secretary simply emailed us and told us the case was being postponed. I had to call the judge's office and the courts to find out every aspect of the case because he never responded to emails, his assistant didn't seem to ever know anything or call us back and the messages to his answering service always went ignored. He seemed very willing to help in the beginning when initially hired, but to leave a client hanging the day before court without any prior notice or explanation was so unprofessional in my opinion. We are now in search of a substitute counsel after having extinguished most of our savings to hire Mr. Van Johnson. We did, by the way, receive a motion to withdraw a week later.
Anthony O. Van Johnson’s response:“Unfortunately, I am not able to go into the specific details about this case. However, It is very difficult to achieve desired results if (1) an individual chooses to represent himself until it's too late and the judge has already issued a ruling, and (2) if the legal fees are not paid for the desired representation. Throughout my years of practice I have always offered reasonable fees and have allowed clients to make partial payments. However, in civil cases there are expenses such as filing fees and Sheriff's fees that can quickly add up (especially if multiple attempts must be made to serve a party). And for these reasons, Attorneys are not able to continue offering representation if the fees cannot be paid.”
