Mr. Thomas is a very knowledgeable DUI Lawyer. He helped me reduce my DUI to reckless driving when it seemed nearly impossible to do so. He is a very busy lawyer but makes sure he helps his clients at the right time. When I got pulled over for DUI I blew a .17 BAC level. It took time in court but I got the perfect deal because of Mr. Thomas and his skills. I would recommend him to anyone who screwed up and got a DUI.
In the 30+ years I've spent in the company of attorneys, politicians, and judges I can honestly say there are only a handful of individuals from these arenas for whom I've acquired an appreciation. Mr. Thomas is stoic, exceptionally knowledgable, and exercises an exemplary form of diplomacy on the stage of southern courtroom antics. Thank you, Mr. Thomas. Had it not been for your patience, dedication, and diplomacy it is very likely I'd have been reprimanded for exercising my 1A rights in court.
I came to Mr. Thomas in June of 2011. I had been arrested for DUI while driving through a roadblock. I Have had a DUI conviction in the past and also two other alcohol related convictions. Mr. Thomas obtained all of the facts of my arrest and reviewed my history. He informed me that with two DUI convictions I was facing up to three months in jail, a 24 month suspension of my license (followed by an undetermined amount of time with the Interlock breathalyzer system on my car) and many other repercussions. During my free consultation Mr. Thomas explained what his plan of action would be if I chose him to represent me. In a situation that felt hopeless to me, Mr. Thomas felt there was a leg to stand on and if his first approach didn't work, he had another idea right behind it. Mr. Thomas and his staff kept me up to date not only through the mail but also through phone calls. I was able to call them any time I had questions and they were quickly answered. I was convinced after my arrest that there was no way I would come out of this situation without jail time, which would cause me to lose my job and subsequently everything I own. Mr. Thomas not only had jail time taken off the table, he had my charges dropped to "reckless driving" and kept my license from being suspended. I have to complete some probation and risk reduction school, but that is the LEAST of my worries. Keeping my license has enabled me to keep my job and I can actually see the end of this horrible situation in sight. Mr. Thomas is EXTREMELY knowledgeable, and will fight for the best outcome in any case.
Mr. Thomas is a well experienced and knowledgeable attorney. His law expertise is vast and he knows his field very well. I highly recommend Mr. Thomas for all your law needs. You can be sure you are in good hands with Mr. Thomas since his openmindedness gives him the neccessary edge among other lawyers. He is also a very easy person to talk to about your problem. He also undrestands your problem very well since it is his higest priority to solve your problem.
Due to multiple lifetime DUIs, I had a State Court prosecutor gunning for me with everything he had. He was DETERMINED that I was going to do 90 days in jail, which would have ruined my career, my family, and could have possibly left me on the street when I got out. Mr. Thomas was able to work out a deal that kept me out of jail and out of the dreaded "drug court". I m convinced that had it not been for Mr. Thomas's professionalism, creativity and fight to win instincts, that I would have lost everything that I've spent my life building. Tom didn't just stop when the case was over. He accompanied me to the first few of several required monthly check in visits with the judge and insured a smooth transition to the time after my trial. I have since learned to use the tools that the court and Mr. Thomas provided me to gain sobriety and to maintain it not only during my probation, but for the rest of my life. Thanks again, Tom!
Mr. Thomas helped me through a very difficult time in my life where I was faced with losing my career in the healthcare field and getting charged with a DUI, he was able to negotiate with the prosecutor and reduce my charge to reckless driving. Tom Thomas gets the job done in court and behind the scenes. When he is on the court room floor he works his magic! He does not accept "no" for an answer and will fight for you to make sure you get the best possible results. I would recommend him to anyone that is in need of help. Thanks again Tom for everything!
I recently faced an extremely intimidating and difficult case. After blowing a .201 (from the report) many lawyers simply would not take my case or would only help me with a guilty plea. I was facing jail time, a $1250 fine, and DUI school (not to mention increased insurance rates and a criminal report that would have come back to haunt me). Mr. Thomas took the case on and stayed with it until the end. He maneuvered the case in ways that I didn’t know were possible until, after a year and a half, the case was finally dismissed. Mr. Thomas is truly knowledgeable in his field and most of all humble in his demeanor and accomplishments. You will not find much written about Mr. Thomas, believe me, I researched for weeks trying to find anything written by him showing his court victories (most lawyers I noticed boast about their accomplishments); however, during my case I came to appreciate that he didn’t feel he needed any. He keeps a low profile; but he is extremely proficient and will do everything he can to assist you in your case. During one of my court appearances another lawyer saw that Mr. Thomas was representing me. He pulled me aside and said that I could not have gotten a better lawyer. He had had a few dealings with Mr. Thomas and spoke very highly of his capabilities. My only advice would be to be patient, don’t bug him, and trust that he will have your best interests at heart. He will keep you posted every step of the way.
