Greg did an amazing job on my case. I was arrested for DUI in Wilkes County, and vehemently disagreed with the results of my breathalyzer test, which I took voluntarily. Greg fought aggressively from start to finish, and he and his office kept me in the loop the entire way. Greg knew most of the parties involved -from officers, attorneys and judges. He also displayed a masterful knowledge of the law. This was a very long and scary process, but Greg and his office helped me understand everything that was going on and why, which went a long way in keeping my anxiety in check. He was honest and thorough from the time I met him up to when he called me personally to let me know we got a favorable ruling. If you are looking for the best in Georgia, I would say you need to talk to Greg and his office, especially if you are dealing with such a potential life changing situation.

In last summer of 2014 I was arrested and given a ticket for DUI and hauled off to jail with my numbers being .135/.137. The next day I started investigating and found Attorney Greg Willis. I went and met with Mr. Willis that Monday. When I first met with Willis he sat me down and explained how the Breathalyzer machine REALLY works and his knowledge of it. He told me of his reputation and his full dedication to getting a reduction or even dropped all together. He explained every possible situation that could come about and was very clear about it. I knew exactly what we were working with. Without much hesitation I hired Mr. Willis. He went above and beyond what I ever expected a lawyer would do. He is very passionate about his job and his clients. There have been numerous times that he would call me on Saturdays or Sundays to provide the latest information. He stopped at nothing to fight every tooth and nail for me and my case. At the 1st final plea date the court was not considering anything less than my original charge. Afterwards, when we spoke discussing the plan moving forward, he made it clear I would not plead guilty. His exact words were “We are going to keep pushing. You didn’t hire me to receive a guilty plea!” Four days before my 2nd and final plea court date I was informed that my case was REDUCED to reckless driving! I was so relieved. At court that Monday not only the prosecutor, but the judge as well spoke of how diligent, skilled, and dedicated Mr. Willis was and that I was extremely fortunate for that. I believe it says A LOT for Mr. Willis to have stopped at nothing for my case. His hard work and knowledge in this area in exceptional. I am very grateful for every minute he worked for me. If you are looking around for an attorney or contemplating you can stop right here. THIS IS WHO YOU NEED AND WANT… No questions about it.

A judge referred me and my family to Greg Willis. We understood that he had a long history and reputation for investigating and working his cases better than any other lawyer. The judge said there was a huge difference in hiring a lawyer and hiring one like Greg that really cares about his clients. I was arrested at a concert for possession of LSD. Greg got the case dismissed. I did not use my first offender or even plead guilty to a misdemeanor. He did exactly what he said he was going to do before I hired him. My future is back on track and I finish college next year. My family and I both highly recommend Greg Willis for any drug charge in Georgia.

Unfortunately, I have needed Greg on three occasions for DUIs. He successfully negotiated reductions to reckless driving on two occasions and my third is currently pending. He is extremely knowledgeable and his advice and recommendations have been spot on. I would not want to face dui charges without Greg by my side. The saying "you get what you pay for" is definitely true in this case. I have refused to take the breathalyzer test and faced administrative suspension of my license on two occasions and had both administrative cases dismissed based on Greg's guidance. He has vast knowledge about all judges and prosecutors in the counties in which he practices and is able to make sound recommendations about how to proceed in every circumstance. I can't stress how wonderful Greg and Shay have been during some of the toughest times in my life. You won't find better representation!

I must admit I have had the unfortunate pleasure of working with Greg on more than one occasion. Whether it was on my case, a member of my family’s case, a co-worker, or a friend, EVERY situation resulted in a win for his client. I don’t know how Greg finds the time to do it, but he gets it done! I consider myself to be a hard working and dedicated professional, but I pale in comparison to him. Greg is always going above and beyond to learn everything there is about the DUI laws or trying to change those same laws. Speaking of knowing everything, how about knowing almost everyone…from the prosecutors, the officers, and the judge? Well, he just happens to have that covered as well. One might think that he would not have time to go over the facts of the case or return a phone call for you, but again, I was amazed that did it all! I have simply never seen a better DUI lawyer…not even in the movies.
It helps to have someone to make you feel comfortable during such an uncomfortable time. He knows his clients have so much to lose, which is why I have referred him to so many people, he does not lose. Relentless Wisdom!

I have had the privilege to have Mr. Greg Willis represent my DUI case three times over the course of several years. In all of the cases, Greg and his team have successfully defending my position by either having the case completely dismissed, or plead down to a lesser charge. Greg worked tirelessly on getting the best result possible my all three of my situations since they all varied drastically from location within the state of Georgia and the counties they occurred. Since each situation was unique, a different approach was needed to fight for the best possible outcome. He walked me through what seemed to be a myriad of pitfalls that could happen with my cases, and solutions on how to combat and/or avoid each problem within the case. There was no sugar coating that each of my cases might not turn out the way I would like, but he was honest and upfront about each case that made me feel that I had obviously made the right choice. There was a plan of action from the beginning that he either stuck with, or modified based on the courts position on each case allowing me to stay current on any/all items that needed to be addressed during all of my cases.
In my opinion, Greg is the only counsel that you should have in fighting a DUI case. I have never seen so much effort and due diligence placed into a case that either may be large or small that he cannot handle. His expertise not only with the DUI laws is unmatched, but his ability to actually fight for your side of the case even if you feel that you have no chance of success.
Facing charges over the years for DUI is no laughing matter and one that I have taken very seriously. It is one of the most embarrassing, depressing, and financially significant ordeals I have ever had to go through personally or professionally. Greg always made me feel that no matter what the outcome might be; that he was there to defend me at all cost and make sure that my side of the story was heard. It is comforting to know that someone has your back through one of the roughest times of your life in dealing with not one, not two, but three cases I have been involved with. Knowing you have the best attorney representing your DUI case gives you confidence in entering a court room that your case will have the best chance possible with Greg’s counsel. Entering a court room is gut-wrenching, intimidating, and frightening to any of us who find themselves having to do so. Greg’s experience and ability to understand all nuances related to DUI cases within the court room, only boosts your chances of success when all hope might appear to be lost.
I am 100% confident that you should choose Greg Willis if you find yourself up against a pending DUI. Since I have been through this ordeal several times, it is no coincidence that through the shear hard work and knowledge base that Greg has defending DUIs I have been able to have the results I have had. I would whole-heartedly recommend Greg Willis to anyone facing such charges so that you can get the best possible counsel available and a fighting chance for your case.

After I was arrested and spent the night in jail, I was embarrassed, scared, and didn't know where to turn. Fortunately my family lawyer recommended I contact Head, Thomas, Webb & Willis to discuss my situation. I met with the firm where I was given the chance to describe what happened and I was given an honest opinion about the chances of winning my case. Even with only a slim chance of winning, I was assured that they would fight for me and do whatever they could to help me. I'm not one to back down from a fight so I decided to utilize the services of Greg Willis.
I met Greg and he explained his tactics for fighting my case, and I agreed to move forward based on his advice. We worked our way through the city courts, and after a few court dates where Greg represented me, we were sent to the County courts. When we finally had the chance to argue my case in front of the County judge, it was like watching court scenes from a movie. It was clear that Greg was very experienced arguing cases in front of the judge, and his execution was very impressive.
The entire process was tough. At one point I really wanted to give up and Greg convinced me to carry forward, because at that point we still had nothing to lose. That advice paid off, as after several years of fighting, Greg was able to get all of the charges reduced to simple reckless driving offense. What I feared was going to be a life changing disaster was reduced to one small infraction.
If you are reading this and are in the same situation I was five years ago, scared and not sure what to do, I would highly recommend connecting with Greg to find out what your options are. Greg was always straight forward with me, and while it was a long, hard fight, Greg never gave up on me, and it turned out better than I could have ever imagined.

I was arrested for DUI in 2009 because of an extremely high breath test. Greg Willis worked the case for five years to get my case dismissed. I interviewed three lawyers before Greg and nobody had a plan to attack the science like he did. I almost didn’t go to the interview with Greg and that would have been a terrible mistake. I figured all lawyers would defend cases the same. I was wrong. Greg has cases pending at both the Georgia Supreme Court and U.S. Supreme Court. Each time we went to court he was answering questions from the judge about Georgia law. Greg was always explaining to the judge the progress of his cases that were on appeal. The judge had a genuine interest in the progress of the appeals. I made many, many trips to court with Greg and he never gave up or complained. He was prepared for every question when in court. I cannot believe he pushed the case this far along to get the right result. His case pending at the U.S. Supreme Court is even two years older than mine. I decided I wanted to go discuss my case with Greg when I read that he spent four days in jail for contempt while fighting for his client. Then after he got out of jail, he won the case at trial. If you want someone willing to go the distance to win your case and that knows the law like nobody else, you should hire Greg Willis. My file was over a foot tall with documents Greg filed in my case. I cannot say enough to express my thanks to Greg for saving my job and my life.

Mr. Willis worked long and hard on my case, and he succeeded in having a DUI charge reduced to a lesser (and far less onerous) charge. At the end of my final court appearance, the judge himself made a point of telling me what "excellent representation" I had received. What more of an endorsement could an attorney get than that! Suffice it to say, I would recommend Mr. Willis to anyone in Atlanta who wants to fight a DUI charge.

My son was unfairly charged with reckless driving and DUI. My comments are spoken in the family sense as our entire family was affected by those charges and the ensuing legal process.
Greg told us at the outset that nothing is guaranteed and that the officer involved was tenacious and meticulous. It would not be a cakewalk. He informed of us of our options and the risks and consequences of each. We knew that the jury's decision could not be foretold and that even a properly informed jury could be unpredictable. To win, Greg tore apart the notion that an officer's opinion constitutes credible evidence and he proved to the jury that the charges in our case were unfounded. His knowledge of the law and his application of precedents allowed him to suppress unfair or inaccurate police supposition and to present our case in its entirety. It often felt like the prosecution was trying to sway the jury into believing that a police officer's testimony is unimpeachable and that the defendant is guilty until proven innocent. Greg turned that argument around and put the burden of proof back on the prosecution where it belongs. Other DUI defense lawyers we spoke with were unsure, timid, or simply too lazy to take on a plea of not guilty. They are too hard to win. Our defense was not cheap but it was worth every penny to exit the courtroom free and clear, which is how we should have exited. It is aggravating that the prosecution does not have to bear the burden of the defendant's legal costs when they are acquitted. They should have to. That might discourage officers from casually charging people without just cause nor proof beyond a reasonable doubt. There is no down side for them if the defendant is acquitted. If money has to be spent on your defense, then at least get your money's worth by hiring a lawyer who will fight for your freedom. Gregg Willis is that guy.
Prior to the trial we were offered a plea bargain but elected to take our chances with our lawyer and the jury. We're glad we did because pleading to a lesser charge would have been simple submission to a criminal charge that was unwarranted.
Greg counseled us on the importance of a court reporter and expert witness and he prepared us and our case for the possibility of appeal. Had the verdict come back guilty, he had already established enough evidence of procedural or legal missteps on the part of the prosecution and judge to warrant an appeal. I never knew the importance of procedure before so this case was a lesson in crossing every T and dotting every I. There are no sure bets but we felt we had a strong case from the get go and Greg presented our side effectively and successfully.
I highly recommend him and his firm.
