I primarily practice criminal defense law in the state of Georgia and focus on driving under the influence (DUI), vehicular homicide, and traffic violation cases, as well as probation and parole issues.
In addition to these areas I also represent clients in civil litigation cases such as personal injury, product liability, vehicle accident, and medical malpractice suits.
Before and during law school, I was a police officer and accident investigation specialist. During my time as a police officer, I worked for the City of Roswell Police Department as well as the Cobb County Police Department.
As a police officer, I received special training in DUI Detection, the Intoxylizer 5000, and Fatality Traffic Collision investigations. I was involved with criminal, DUI, and traffic cases. I was also responsible for training of police recruits.
I am certified by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) to teach law enforcement agents how to conduct field sobriety tests. This certification and my nine years as a police officer give me unique insight into police procedures, and this extensive knowledge is beneficial to my clients. I am also a (NHTSA) trained Standardized Field Sobriety Practioner and a member of the National College for DUI Defense (NCDD).
