Outcome: Judgment for the Involuntary Debtor
Description: This is the seminal case in the District on bad faith filing of involuntary bankruptcy cases. After a multi-day trial, judgment was entered in favor of my client, an involuntary debtor placed in bankruptcy by a competitor. Prior to a separate trial on damages, the case was settled for a high six-figure amount.
