About me

Thanks for taking the time to look at my profile on AVVO. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at the office.

---

I primarily represent busineses in complex civil litigation matters, concentrating on matters involving corporate disputes, contracts, unfair competition (trade secrets, trade dress, computer fraud and abuse, false advertising), insurance coverage (professional liability, CGL, and excess liability), machinery and equipment, construction and product liability.  I also represent businesses in negotiating and drafting equipment supply contracts, terms and conditions, non-disclosure agreements, and other business contracts. Please note that the AVVO categories in my profile for insurance and computer fraud and abuse relate to litigation.

Chorey, Taylor & Feil strives to provide our clients with high quality, high touch and high value legal services with a sophistication that rivals larger firms. We do not have a leverage model, and our shareholders typically handle matters directly, or are directly involved in matters handled by our other lawyers.

Although we represent a number of very large companies, many of our clients are in the middle market and are privately owned. We also often provide separate representation to executives, officers, and directors in business and litigation matters.

Our firm has extensive experience in many industries, but some of the key ones would be manufacturing and distribution, alcoholic beverages and hospitality, financial services, and health care. My particular experience includes manufacturing and distribution, machinery and equipment (for engineered wood products, pulp and paper, metalforming, auto parts and other applications), insurance, mining, and natural gas distribution.

I have represented a number of international companies and am actively involved in expanding our presence in the international business community. I have traveled extensively in Europe, and have given seminars in Munich on product liability and risk managment. I have also spoken on arbitration at a seminar in Heidelberg, and have presented private seminars to a number of clients on various issues of U.S. law. We understand the cultural, business and legal challenges faced by international companies in doing business in the United States. One of the biggest mistakes an international company can make is to assume that business is done -- particularly the legal aspects of business -- the same way in the U.S. as in their home country. We have developed the cultural sensitivity to understand these issues and to help explain the U.S. legal system to international companies. We have three lawyers who are German speakers, and our firm is active in the German American Chamber of Commerce, the British American Business Group, and the Southern Center for International Legal Studies.

We are located in Buckhead, which is the financial and entertainment district of Atlanta, and are easy to reach from the airport, downtown or midtown.
