    TB made the mistake of hitch-hiking. The driver of the vehicle she was with refused to let her leave. When he stopped for gas, she used his cell phone to call her mother for help. She was later able to escape by running from her captor after using the ladies room. However, her mother had contacted police after the call from TB and when police discovered she was not in danger (because she had escaped) she was arrested for falsely reporting a crime. We were able to complete TB's case without her having to appear for court and ultimately got the state to agree not to prosecute.

    EB was facing 20 years for Robbery. EB was also in probation for a separate drug offense. Due to expert negotiation and case investigation, EB's probation was not revoked and his Robbery charge was reduced to a misdemeanor theft charge. He was required to pay less than $100 in restitution and had no probation.
