I hired Howard after making the very stupid decision of placing a bomb in my girlfriends car ( Dont worry it was unoccupied, and I meant it to be like a cherry bomb in a mailbox - believe me I know there is no justifying this very stupid decision). I had the ATF breathing down my neck hot and heavy. Not the group of individuals you want after you, if they think your there man, they'll fix the case, and the evidence, believe me I know, they are trouble.
At any rate, the ATF discovered that I was a Felon, and that I had possessed a couple of guns, even though I honestly thought I was not!! At any rate the law does not care what you think about your criminal history, a felon in possession is a for sure your doing time. I refused to accept that label, and insisted to Howard that we go to trial. It took some PI work, and alot of leg work, and a damn good lawyer to present it to the Jury. But, I write here to tell you that Howard Wientraube got a NOT GUILTY verdict from the Federal Grand JURY on all the counts of possession. I did no time for those guns.. I was warned not to ever possess one again, and let go!!!!!!!!
People, I have read your posts about money. It is a very expensive task to go up against the State, and an overwhelming task to go up against the FEDS, they print the money. But, this is your only shot. Wait till your doing ten plus years in Prison, and getting quotes of 25,000 dollars plus to file an appeal. An appeal is just paper writing, no PI work, interviews, depositions, trial time.. Don't be stingy, spend the money- your freedom is worth every penny. Take it from someone who has experienced the entire process.
I'm now married to that girl who's car I damaged, have two kids, a house, a great job.. I'm happy, and I consider Howard a great friend.

My 18 year old daughter lives in Atlanta and was charged with possession of marijuana. Living in Florida I did not know any Atlanta lawyer who could help my child. A friend of mine recommended that I hire Howard Weintraub. I am so grateful for his suggestion.

In our house we call Atlanta attorney Howard Weintraub the “mailman” because he delivered in representing my son Waltrant Cash. In 2005 my son was wrongfully convicted by a jury in Carroll County Superior Court of aggravated child molestation and he was sentenced to ten years. After sentencing I replaced his trial lawyer with Howard Weintraub.

Mr. Weintraub filed for a new trial but the judge denied any relief. Mr. Weintraub appealed to the Court of Appeals of Georgia and on November 20, 2008 they reversed my son’s conviction. My son’s case is reported at Cash v. State, 294 Ga. App. 741, 669 S.E.2d 731 (2008).

Because of Mr. Weintraub’s skills my son’s nightmare ended on February 03, 2009 when he was released from prison. I thank Mr. Weintraub for saving my son’s life and for reuniting my family. I highly recommend Howard Weintraub to anyone needing an excellent criminal defense lawyer who will vigorously and ethically fight for his client.

I was arrested for DUI in September, 2006. After searching for a good lawyer to represent me, a friend of mine highly recommended that I use Howard Weintraub as my attorney. What a wonderful choice that was! According to the Georgia State Patrol trooper who pulled me over because I was speeding, I had a strong odor of alcohol on my breath, my eyes were watery and bloodshot, and I stumbled when I walked outside of my car. Also, the trooper claimed that I had 6 out of 6 clues on the eye examination and that I swayed very badly during that test. I also registered .141 on the alcosensor. After the trooper arrested me, I agreed to take the breath test at the police station and I blew almost 1 1/4 times the legal limit.

After representing me for over 2 1/2 years, in December, 2008 Howard Weintraub was successful in convincing the judge in Fulton County State Court to dismiss my entire case. Because of Howard Weintraub’s efforts I was not found guilty of anything: not even of speeding (which I clearly was guilty of). Because of Howard Weintraub’s representation of me I never lost my license and I continue to have a clean record, free of any criminal convictions.

One morning, at approximately 1:30 a.m., I was pulled over by a police officer in DeKalb County for supposedly speeding and failing to pull over when passing a stationary police vehicle that had activated emergency lights. The officer asked me how much I had to drink that night and after I responded he proceeded to investigate me for DUI. The officer concluded that I didn’t do well on the eye test and the two balancing tests and he said that I tested positive on the hand-held breath testing device. I then was arrested for DUI and I took a breath test at the police station where I registered 1 1/2 times the legal limit, as I tested at .124.

My job duties required me to drive outside of Georgia and a DUI conviction would have cost me my job. I needed a real good lawyer to get me out of this mess. After speaking with several attorneys who handled DUI cases, I decided to hire Howard Weintraub. I certainly made the right decision and retained the right lawyer.

Mr. Weintraub did a fantastic job in defending my case. He filed a motion asking the judge to throw out all of the evidence gathered by the officer: including the officer’s observations of me (such as his claims that I was speeding, did not yield to the officer’s stationary vehicle, had an odor of alcohol, bloodshot eyes, slurred speech); my admission that I had been drinking; my performances on all of the field sobriety evaluations; and my .124 breath test result.

The judge held a hearing and agreed with all of Howard Weintraub’s arguments, disagreed with the arguments of the prosecutors, and then suppressed all of the evidence against me. The prosecutors appealed my case to the Georgia Court of Appeals and, in January of 2009, the Court of Appeals agreed with the judge and affirmed the ruling that threw out all of the evidence.

My nightmare is over. Because of Howard Weintraub I was not convicted of anything arising out of the incident, much less a DUI. Now I can live with no suspension of my Georgia driver’s license. Because of Howard Weintraub I was not convicted of DUI and still have a clean record.

I wholeheartedly recommend Howard Weintraub to anyone needing an excellent, well learned, dedicated, hard working and honest criminal defense lawyer and especially to anyone looking for a great lawyer to defend them in a DUI case.

I was wrongfully convicted of child molestation in 2005 and I was sentenced to ten years in prison. After my conviction, my family hired attorney Howard Weintraub to try to get my conviction overturned. He filed for a new trial and eventually persuaded the Georgia Court of Appeals to overturn my conviction. On November 20, 2008 my conviction was reversed by the Georgia Court of Appeals.
