I have worked with Craig Frankel in a professional capacity over the past 8 years. He has assisted me with various legal needs during that time. Most recently he has helped with a settlement and resolution of a dispute claim with my former employer resulting in a swift, equitable and positive outcome. I can confirm Craig has always displayed a high degree of integrity, honesty and dependability. It is because of these qualities I offer high recommendation for Craig Frankel without reservation.
I most thankfully endorse and recommend the skills of Craig Frankel in the courtroom, his personal integrity, his negotiation skills and his broad knowledge of the law.
My case involved a challenge to a family trust by the probate executor. It was further complicated by the fact that it was a California Trust. As each step progressed, completely by electronic communication, I was advised and made completely aware of the options. By time we reached a hearing and went to Atlanta, I felt I was meeting old friends and was fully prepared.
Mr. Frankel is a true advocate for his clients. His broad general knowledge, his persistence, and his integrity combined with his legal skills, endeared him to this client. It is very difficult when one thinks he/she have done "everything right" only to have it challenged. Mr. Frankel spared this family a lot of heartache as he guided us through the process.
I hired Craig to represent me as a client in a probate matter. I have known Craig as a colleague for many years regarding trust and estates, probate, and fiduciary matters. I needed to hire counsel for a probate dispute to represent me. My choice was to contact Gaslowtiz Frankel, and Craig in particular. Craig was creative when it was necessary and extremely responsive. The focus was always on obtaining a practical result, and we were successful.
Craig is a terrific lawyer! Thorough, creative and a real advocate. I highly recommend Craig for trust and estate issues, but also for general legal expertise.
I'm no authority on the areas of the law in which Craig Frankel pretends to specialize, but his dealings with me struck me as a symphony of bad advice, worse judgment, and massive lack of information on the ins-and-outs of Georgia's laws -- and the workings of its court system.
On the plus side, he has a pleasing personality and a pleasant voice on the phone. This may have been of some advantage if any of the issues he raised in our lawsuit ever actually made it to trial. Unfortunately, we never had a trial, even though he billed my family just short of $100,000 -- and this was for a contingency-fee case.
Of this, he charged us something in the neighborhood of $45,000 TO WRITE A LETTER which, he assured us, would cause the other side to immediately cave-in to our demands. The other side did not even respond to the letter.
Over the next three-plus years, Craig filed numerous motions with various courts, all of which he lost until, in the end, every court all the way up to, and including, the Georgia Supreme Court, ruled that not a single issue he alleged in our matter raised enough of an legal issue even to get to a jury. By the time it was all over, Craig had lost every round at every level -- after assuring my family that the case was not only winnable, but was as close to a slam-dunk as legal matters ever get.
He seemed surprised at this outcome although, it seems to me, that lawyers who know what they are doing don't get so catastrophically surprised.
Do not, not, not have anything to do with this lawyer.
Craig --- if you read this and think I got any of the facts wrong, please e-mail me and I will contact Avvo and attempt to get them straightened out.
