Bob Chestney was extremely well prepared for the motion hearing on my case. He knew all the details of the police report and cases relating to the motions filed. This allowed him to immediately note contradictions in what the officer was saying on the stand and what the police report stated. Pointing these things out immediately caused the judge to grant the motion of an illegal stop, thus dismissing the entire case.

I was impressed with how quickly Bob recognized the errors in the police officer's testimony without having to reference the report, he clearly knew what he was doing and fought hard to get my case dismissed. I cannot thank him enough.

I am from out of town and had an "incident" while on business in Atlanta. When I called Bob initially, he was very helpful in describing his firm and it's fee structure(s). I elected to have Bob represent me personally (highest fee) and he spent some time going over his strategy for my case. He asked that I be patient and "let the system work". Almost four years later my case was dismissed. My father was a patent attorney and he once told me that there are three things you should always over spend on, Lawyers, Doctors and shoes. When I was arrested for DUI in Cobb Co. Ga. I had no idea who to hire for my defense attorney. When I met with Bob and gave him the details about the arrest he suggested that we set up for a jury trial and plead not guilty. After two and one half days of trial the jury aquitted me of the DUI charge. Bob deflated the states case and proved that the police officer failed to perform the tests correctly that he used as evidence against me. Bob is truly an expert DUI lawyer and I would recommed him to anyone that wants to win!

Needless to say I was in a sticky situation. I had been planning on going to medical school since I was a child-- studied hard, had the MCAT in the books, and really was doing everything I could to make myself a competitive applicant. A DUI charge could have ruined years of hard work, and Chestney understood that and really took a firm, attention-to-detail approach to fight my case. He fielded every question I had, took time after hours to work on my case, and put together a comprehensive approach that really had me feeling comfortable (considering the situation) with all that was going on.

I honestly could not have asked for anything else-- we left no stone unturned. Had my case gone to trial, I felt that he was preparing the entire time for that possibility. Knowing that he had years of trial experience was a very big plus-- I was never worried that I would be misrepresented.

In the end, we got the outcome we were expecting-- there were no surprises with the ruling and he followed through with every detail.

It is not a history I am proud of, but I have required the brilliant Bob Chestney two times for two DUIs that I got within the same 30 day period- both in Fulton County- and the court bundled them both- along with other charges- together to be tried at the same time! Talk about the cards stacked... To make a long story short, Bob Chestney was able to have me acquitted for all practical purposes. It was almost 5 years later when I unfortunately got myself a fresh new DUI - this time in COBB (Count on Being Busted) and I immediately called on Bob Chestney. I felt, bases on my history, and the circumstances that I was done for. Despite my fears and anxiety he did it again. Some good lawyers are reviewed well based on their ability to structure a plea deal for their client- well I can tell you first hand that that a "good" lawyer can turn into a bumbling idiot if forced to go to trial. Bob Chestney is a GREAT lawyer- he prepares every step of the way under the assumption that he is going to trial. Even while attempting to arrange a fair plea deal, he is all the while preparing for trial. It is this trial prep that often times is the catalyst that brings the prosecutor to their senses and a deal is made. In my case, an unimaginably terrific conclusion. Bob Chestney saved my life.

Unfortunately, I've had to hire more than a few attorneys over the years. I'd chosen these based on price or friend's recommendations. However, the time came when I had no choice...I had one shot, and it had to be the best and was most important choice I made. I was faced with 6 separate DUI's on 6 separate days within a 2 year period. I allowed another attorney to handle my first case (Fulton Co) and that knucklehead got blistered by a rookie prosecutor. Bob Chestney handled my next 5 cases. Through strategic planning and skillful tactics, 4 out of the 5 cases were dismissed, the only conviction resulting in a "first-time conviction". I'm convinced we had a shot in that case, but my video/audio reference to the cop as a "potato-head" didn't sit well with the judge (bald, also). Bob always handled himself as a gentleman, and was extremely well respected by both judges and peers. It was like showing up with Sinatra! If you must get out of this charge, your best shot is Bob.

I contacted Mr. Chestney after being pulled over for tag light violation by a Forsyth DUI task force agent, who eventually arrested me for DUI. However, I believed that I was not intoxicated and was being railroaded, so I refused the Breathalyzer on site, which turned out to go against me. In doing so, Forsyth Co. wanted to jail me, fine me, take my license, and add probation for my first offense.
However, Mr. Chestney’s background and knowledge gave me the confidence to take my case to trial in order to prove my innocence. At first I thought he was too expensive, but after seeing the other attorneys practice in court over the past 10 months, I am a full believer that you get what you pay for!
