Ms. Kozycki represented my husband on his case. She took his case to trial and he was found not guilty on both charges. Rebecca handled his case with dedication, confidence, and devotion. I would recommend her to anyone. She is a wonderful defense attorney and person who really cares about her clients.
I commissioned the firm which Rebecca works for and she was assigned my DUI case. In short, all of my personal misgivings were completely unjustified, as Rebecca only revealed her Lawyer persona in Courtroom. Prior to the Court’s first postponement I was initially unsatisfied with the level of involvement; to the point that I had written to the firm’s Owner. I was grossly incorrect!! When we finally went to Court last week, I saw the assertiveness & knowledgeable intelligence which I had expected. I am more of a frontal attack person; whereas Rebecca expertly uses stealth & leverage to the full advantage of the Defense. In the end I’m quite happy with Rebecca’s representation; if you bring her on-board don’t let her laid back persona fool you, as it did me. Rebecca is 100% on her game.
Rebecca did a very, very, very good job representing me. She did a wonderful job making the jury put themselves in my shoes and she did an even better job at discrediting the arresting officer by pointing out his inconsistencies. Do yourself a favor and hire her.
My case was initially handled by another lawyer with the same firm. Upon their departure, Ms. Kozycki was given my case. She and I discussed the various details and her knowledge of the procedures and requirements of the prosecutor was very evident. Ms. Kozycki determined a best approach for handling this case that created the best opportunity for a positive outcome. Though it took a long time to get resolved, the charges were eventually dismissed. Of course, I was agreeable to taking as much time as needed to get the best chance at a dismissal.
Obviously, this is an upsetting charge to deal with and Ms. Kozycki took the time to keep me informed of the progress of the case and thoroughly answer any and all questions I had.
During the process, I always felt that the necessary attention was being paid to my case and was confident in her expertise and that of her firm. Of course, I am more than happy with the outcome of my case and would definitely recommend her to others.
Getting arrested for a DUI was one of the toughest times in my life, but Rebecca did a phenomenal job stepping me through every stage of the process. She was prompt with all updates in my case and made sure everything was handled with minimal interruption to my daily life. She was absolutely a pleasure to work with and I would recommend her services every time.
I cannot explain how grateful I am to have run into Rebecca and the Chesney Law firm. Initially, when I was charged with a DUI I devastated because I assumed it would eventually cost me my job…I had no idea that people without “connections” could actually avoid conviction. I’ve been in Atlanta for the past 8 years and during that time I’ve watch several friends challenge their charges unsuccessfully. My case seemed pretty open and shut so even after reading of the Chesney firm online, I was prepared to follow in their footsteps.
But Rebecca combed through my case until she found some obscure technicality to latch onto and we won! The woman has essential memorized the police training manual and I’m pretty sure she knows every trick out there.
I was recently arrested for a DUI (3rd Offense). Obviously, I was extremely concerned about my family, my freedom, my future, and my driving privileges. I decided to find an experienced firm that only focused on DUI offenses. Rebecca Kozycki was the defense lawyer that I needed.
In my case, I was driving home and stopped as I turned into my residence. The officer stated that I was unable to maintain my lane and he could smell alcohol in my vehicle. I refused to submit to a breathalyzer or any field sobriety testing. The officer declared me to be DUI, and took me to jail. The next day, I was speaking with Rebecca Kozycki about my case. She explained to me the consequences for a 3rd DUI in 10 years; however she was optimistic that she would be able to help me. At my ALS Hearing, Rebecca was able to talk to the officer and get him to agree to rescind my automatic 12 month suspension. This allowed me to keep my Driver’s License until my court date.
Rebecca worked extremely hard on my case and was very knowledgeable about every single detail. We decided to keep the case in Municipal Court because Rebecca felt like the consequences in my city may not be as severe. This meant we were going to have a bench trial in front of a judge, instead of a jury. We made multiple attempts to deal with the Solicitor, in order to reduce my charge. The Solicitor was convinced that my case was solid and a conviction was highly probable. I was extremely nervous going to trial, but I also felt that I had the best representation possible. Rebecca was feverishly taking notes at all times during my case. She made great adjustments as the trial progressed, and aggressively argued my defense. Thanks to the hard work of Rebecca Kozycki, the judge found me Not Guilty.
If you are in a tough situation like I was, I highly recommend hiring Rebecca Kozycki to defend you.
I went through a police roadblock late on a Saturday night, after being with friends. The cop asked me to do all kinds of field sobriety tests, which I did (though I’ll never do that again). He said I failed them all. When I got down to the jail, the cop talked me into blowing into the intoxilyzer; then said I was over the limit. I did not think I had a chance. But, I hired Rebecca to fight this case.
Right from the start, Rebecca made me hopeful that I might be able to defend myself. She spent time going over all the facts, asking a bunch of questions about what exactly happened that night. She said that there was something wrong with the way the roadblock had been setup by the police. When we got to court, the prosecutor wanted me to plead guilty or else I was going to go to jail. That made me extremely nervous. But Rebecca started arguing and the judge threw the whole case out. I was able to keep my job and keep on driving. Rebecca really knows what she is doing.
Rebecca Kozycki is an amazing attorney and successfully helped me avoid a DUI conviction. I spent many months worrying and stressing out over how this kind of conviction would impact my career, my family, and my personal life. Rebecca was extremely professional and treated my case like it was her top priority.
On the night I was arrested, I agreed to take a breathalyzer test and I also requested that I be able to take an independent test administered by a third party. The officer agreed to let me have this test as long as I performed all of his tests. However, once I performed all of his tests he denied me the right to a third-party independent test. I felt like I was lied to and unfairly denied my rights. Due to Rebecca’s knowledge and experience with DUI cases, she was able to get the breathalyzer test thrown out as evidence against me. Without the breathalyzer test, she was able to prove to the jury that there was not enough evidence present to convict me of a DUI.
I have several friends who have found themselves in similar situations, but didn’t want to spend the extra money to have the Chestney Law Firm represent them. Trust me, it is worth the extra money! I highly recommend Rebecca Kozycki and the Chestney Law Firm.
