Steve practices family law and domestic relations and related litigation exclusively. He focuses on complex litigation involving executive benefits and retirement and financial assets and closely held businesses, where he utilizes his experience from working in financial services with PaineWebber which was acquired by UBS prior to practicing family law. Steve is experienced in courts throughout Georgia on divorce, modification, custody, support, and contempt procedings. He prepares prenuptial agreements and has litigated to have these agreements enforced or alternatively to have them set aside.
Steve joined Kessler & Solomiany as a Senior Attorney in 2014 after practicing family law with Warner, Bates, McGough, McGinnis & Portnoy for many years. He is AV Preeminent rated by Martindale Hubbell for legal ability and ethical standards, the highest rating possible.
Steve and his wife Amy live in Buckhead with their son Harris, a cum laude graduate of The Westminster Schools and a student at the University of Georgia, and their rescued Labrador retriever. The family enjoys taking cruises and beach trips together and are active Braves and college football fans.
Steve graduated from Cornell University in 1986 with a B.S. and after working in Human Resources for a Fortune 500 corporation earned his law degree from Tulane University in 1992, graduating cum laude.
