Louis has represented me in my current divorce. While divorce certainly is nothing I want to experience again, Louis was not only highly competent in ensuring the settlement outcome was in the best interest of myself and my children, but also was of great personal counsel while I was in the initial emotional state that such an event causes.
He is a very proactive listener and was able to expertly take my concerns and key objectives from laymen terms to legal representation that protected not only my ability to have joint custody of my children as a Father with proper decision making authority, but also protect my interest to financially support myself and my children going forward.
I would not hesitate to recommend Louis. I was referred to his firm by my personal attorney when the surprise of divorce surfaced. Should in the future my ex attempt modifications to our settlement, the first phone I will make will be to Louis.
I hired a different attorney at K&S. My case was assigned to Louis's paralegal. Having worked in law firms, that's very unusual. Louis showed up at a meeting and took over my case when a scheduling conflict occurred. It turned out that Louis was best friend's with my former husband's attorney. I had been "slammed". They travel together, go out to dinner as couples. . .While that wouldn't have bothered me, it was evident that my former husband knew things he shouldn't have known. Louis barely spoke at my hearings. He is very knowledgable and competent, his intentions are questionable. During the deposition of my former husband, Louis left so many questions unanswered, the deposition wasn't useful in getting to the bottom of the serious issues. I was compared to a Mack truck by the other attorney because Louis wasn't talking. Per my Order, I should have been awarded attorney's fees. Louis waited a day before the Motion was due, to return my calls, saying he didn't think it was a good idea, even though my settlement agreement specifically stated that I was due attorney's fees if I had to sue my x for non payment. It was a $36k call on his part that left me holding the bag. He said that my divorce was very "contentious". Contentious implies there's an issue on both sides. When your x husband is a bully, who uses his influence, money and friends. . to further the abuse, it's domestic abuse and harassment. Only a man would see it as contentious. . . when in fact, I was standing up for my rights and protecting my children. Louis is a nice guy, who is easily influenced and isn't as strong of a man or an attorney as I would want handling my matters. . .which is why I didn't hire him in the first place. If you are in a domestic abuse situation, hire an attorney who is well versed in the ways in which male and female former spouses can use the court systems to further the abuse. Then you won't have to fight your own battles.
Louis Tesser and Karen Lindberg his paralegal were a pleasure to work with. Professional, personable, knowledgeable and always accessible. I could not have wished for a better attorney and the experience. Thank you for all your help Louis and Karen.
My experience with Mr. Tesser has been outstanding. I was especially impressed with his understanding of how different personalities would be impacting my case. From the court reporter to the guardian...Louis "knew everyone"!
I followed every word of advice from Louis (even when I was uncertain) and while no one is a "winner" when it comes to divorce, I can now move on with my life with a sense of security and joy. Yes Virginia, there is life after a divorce. Louis helped me take that first step....thank you Louis. Much success in the future.
Mr. Tesser is an outstanding attorney. He represented me throughout my divorce, which lasted over four years. It was an extremely contentious case that was further complicated when my ex-husband filed for bankruptcy. Mr. Tesser was always realistic about the case and provided me with a variety of options on how to approach matters. We were in court, often, and Mr. Tesser was always meticulously prepared. I had confidence entering the court room that I had an extremely knowledgeable and articulate advocate representing me and protecting the interests of me and my children. It’s been 18 months since Mr. Tesser has had to handle legal matters for me, but he is just as accessible today to answer a concern as he was during the most tumultuous periods of the case. I have recommended Mr. Tesser to many friends and acquaintances that have found themselves in need of a family law attorney. Mr. Tesser holds every quality an attorney should possess. Allowing Mr. Tesser to represent you is a wise decision.
Hired Louis to handle my divorce in "10. I found him to be poorly prepared with only a hazy grasp on facts throughout the process.
Louis Tesser has been proven to me to be one of the brightest, most competent young lawyers in Atlanta. I have had my own law practice for almost forty years and I am impressed by Mr. Tesser's tenacity, knowledge and common sense. I would give him the highest rating I can give.
