About Me

Charles T. Brant, a native of Savannah, Georgia, is the junior partner of the Colom and Brant Law Firm in Atlanta, Georgia. Brant graduated from Morehouse College in 1984, and was commissioned in the United States Navy as an officer upon graduation. He served on active duty, and then attended Mercer University's School of Law, in Macon, Georgia in 1987.

Brant graduated from Mercer in 1990, and soon thereafter received military orders to work at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., during Desert Storm/Desert Shield. At the completion of his assignment, Brant interned at the Public Defender's Office in Washington D.C. He was admitted to the Washington D.C. and Georgia Bar in 1994, as well as the Northern District of Georgia, United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, Court of Appeals of the State Of Georgia, and the Supreme Court of the State of Georgia. Brant was also admitted to the United States Middle District Court in 1998.

Brant worked for the City of Atlanta Public Defender 's Office for two years, and then opened his law practice in Atlanta in 1995. As an avid trial attorney, he has represented over a thousand clients in cases ranging from criminal trespass to murder, throughout the State of Georgia. In 1999, Brant expanded his practice to personal injury law when he successfully sued the City of Atlanta in a wrongful death case.

Brant has been Vice Chair of the Minority Caucus of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He is also a member of the 100 Black Men of America. He has over 20 years of active reserve duty in the United States Navy as a naval intelligence specialist officer, holding the rank of Lieutenant Commander.
