State v. Runyon

Caryn S. Fennell

Case Conclusion Date:August 26, 2013

Practice Area:Criminal Defense

Outcome:All Charges Dismissed

Description:Client was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana after a search of his person as passenger in a vehicle resulted in a seizure of marijuana less than one once. In a State where one must often question whether the Fourth Amendment actually exists, the case against Mr. Runyon was dismissed after we successfully argued Mr. Runyon's Motion to Suppress on the basis that the Woodstock Police Department K9 Officer, Jackson made an illegal stop of the vehicle on private property, thus resulting in all evidence procured as a result of the illegal stop being suppressed by Order of the Court.
