Case Conclusion Date: August 3, 2012
Practice Area: Probate
Outcome: We were able to generate significant evidence for our client that affirmed her father’s desires. On the eve of trial, we were able to reach a modest settlement with her brother.
Description: Mr. Hendon prepared a will that left the bulk of his estate to his daughter. The named executor, his daughter, hired this firm to probate the will. Mr. Hendon's son challenged the will on the grounds that the will was created while Mr. Hendon was mentally impaired and that Mr. Hendon was under the influence of his daughter when he executed the will. Mr. Hendon's son dismissed the caveat to the will thus allowing Mr. Hendon's daughter to probate the will and follow her father's final instructions.
