January of 2009 I had an unfortunate altercation. I braved a "Bond Modification Hearing" on my own....and quickly realized I was in over my head. After a bit of research, I came across Ramon Alvarado and scheduled an appointment. I immediately knew I'd done the right thing in contacting him, as he first...made me take a deep breath and realize that with his help, we'd get through this. The light at the end of the tunnel WAS NOT a train....but hope. He gathered information from me, and gave me my options. With his experience we planned a course of action, I sat back and waited for Ramon's correspondance, made 2 appearances at court, and resolved the matter in an extremely favorable manner on my behalf. Once I met with Ramon, I never once felt like I was in the dark about any of the goings on in my case. I had questions...that seemed "stupid" at the time, but Ramon took all the time necessary to educate me on courtroom proceedings without making me feel like the amateur that I was/am. If money were no object...I guess we'd all hire Johnny Cochran....but it is. Ramon was extremely fair in his pricing. There were "cheaper" attorneys advertised....emphasis on the "cheaper". To be represented by Ramon, who was informative, always kept me in the loop, the court staff KNEW Ramon (they didn't know of him, they KNEW him) and most importantly respected him. The internet teaches everything about price....and nothing about value. I highly recommend Ramon to anyone who needs an attorney.
I was involved in an accident where an off-duty Atlanta police officer ran into the back of my truck. Without Ramon's assistance, I would have been falsely accused of causing the accident. Ramon assisted me with the insurance portion of my case and the criminal charges placed against me by the police officer's co-worker. He is now assisting me with the civil charges filed by the officer that was in the accident.
Ramon is patient and very thorough in explaining how the court systems work and in negotiations. He is a phenomenal teacher and a powerful speaker in the courtroom. Without his help, I truly believe these officers might have gotten away with this.
When your blood starts pumping and your energy level rises sitting in front of the judge and jury, Ramon is a calming force. I couldn't have asked for more in an attorney. And there is no way that I could repay him for his kindness throughout the past trials.
My son had a probation revocation hearing and 2 days prior to his hearing, because of some great people, we were put in touch with Mr. Alvarado. With compassion, and enthusiasm, he took my sons case. He was kind, caring, and certainly knew what he was doing. I know he is a busy man, but he made us feel we were his only clients. I believe that my son would have had his probation revoked if it hadn't been for Mr. Alvarado. We will be forever grateful to him.
I was arrested and charged with DUI in Gwinnett County. Attorney Ramon Alvarado was recommended to me by one of his former clients that he had previously represented. After I posted my bond, the Prosecutor attempted to modify my bond so that I couldn't drive without certain restrictions being in place. Ramon was able to get the Prosecutor's motion to modify my bond dismissed so I could keep driving.
Ramon was always straightforward with me and my family about the case. He always kept me informed and I always felt like I could contact his office whenever I had questions or concerns. I felt like he really cared about me and my case. He was very knowledgeable about the current DUI laws. Ultimately, my DUI was reduced to reckless driving and I was able to keep my license and avoid the stress of going to trial.
I would definitely recommend Ramon to friends and family in the future.
